Friday DE: into the wilds
Heyo everyone! I know it's early, but I'm leaving for the wilderness in the morning and likely won't have a signal, so I'm putting up the Friday DE early.
I'm going camping! Inspired by the mixed reactions I've gotten from telling people my plans (which have ranged from "Oh, fun!" to "Ugh, why?"), I want to know, what are your pups feelings on camping and the great outdoors?
Are they totally onboard with a flannel jacket and a Smores stick? Or are they a, "Oh, hell no!" and booking the nearest hotel? Maybe they're one of those from a world where living outside and battling nature and the elements is just life.
In an absolute survival situation where they have to stick it out in the woods for awhile, do they make it, or are they totally bear food?

Wei Wuxian has also been extensively trained in outdoor survival, and enjoys it. That isn't to say he'd turn down a nice bed in an inn with good food and some wine
and maybe a roof to lounge onbut sleeping under the stars is pretty awesome.Cecil is also extensively trained in outdoor survival, and probably the best trained at desert survival. Also the best trained in firearms. And in radio broadcasting. So. There's that. He 100% prefers his apartment though.
Jon... vaguely remembers some stuff he read in a book once. This boy is not built for the rugged outdoors. Which, you know. Sucks to be him. Turns out he will not be bear food! ... For reasons that have nothing to do whatsoever with how well prepared he is.
Chief Gwi knows just fine how to survive outdoors. Will he be grumpy and bitch about it? To certain people, hell yes.

(As this plus magic minus an end date is the premise of Don't Starve, all the characters from his canon are at least minimally competent at wilderness survival.)

Abe no Seimei could do it, although you wouldn’t think so. He does not usually do it as a recreational activity, but in support of a pilgrimage or getting something else done.
Murderbot hates the outdoors. Of course it hates camping too.
