Monday DE: Trust falls

Hey, everyone. Swapping in for Bethan today, with a question I absolutely didn't get by searching 'Character Development Questions' and clicking on the first Google link.

How trusting is your character? Who is it in their life that they trust?

Sara trusts her own crew, her family, and a nice large pack of the hero's in her universe (both original brand version, and Crisis reformatted version). B u t she, also, at a level trusts almost no one with herself, who she is, what she is, what she's capable of, what and how the blood lust is always affecting her, always making her want to do. #IAmDeath

Jo Harvelle doesn't trust people much further than she can throw them. Mostly because the people in her world are oblivious innocents. The only people above and beyond those chain link, razor wire fences, is other hunters she's known growing up. There are a handful of people from Milliway now (Rachel, Anna, River, etc) that have crossed that line, but it's still very small.

Jean Grey is very much a "trust, but verify" type. She does trust most of the people on her island, and she's willing to give the chance to those she's not certain of for the sake of Krakoa's mandates. Does it help that she can read their minds? Sure, that is part of it sometimes, but in general she will extend her hand until it's bitten, and then some. But she has reasonable limits.

Lady Marian has had a hard road with trusting people. After Robin's vanishing off to the war, and the Sherrif's subjugation of Sherwood, there wasn't a lot there to be had. But Milliways opened up that box, and she ended up with a lot of people she loves and trusts but didn't expect (Caspian, Tom, Alanna, Merlin, Amy, etc, etc, etc). I'd say she's much more willing to consider trusting people at facevalue now.
