Friday DE: He's like me, except he has a handlebar moustache

Quelle surprise, your character is now the main villain of their canon. What are they like as a villain?

Alternately, if your character is already a villain, what are they like as the hero of their canon?
configuration_birdwatcher: A battlefield of the Omnic Crisis. A red-eyed Bastion unit is firing its arm gun while it advances; the background is an indistinct jumble of debris, armored vehicles, larger battle robots, and the red glow of fire and explosions. (omnic crisis: battlefield)

So, I have pondered Ibani as a villain before! Ben, who plays the protagonist of The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, and I have thrown around an idea of the 'darkest timeline' where Ibani is evil and Garyn doesn't care about anyone but her.

Milliways Ibani feels responsible for the galaxy, and her exponentially large amounts of survivor's guilt means she feels that she HAS to make things better. It reminds me of this Terry Pratchett quote from The Wee Free Men: “All witches are selfish, the Queen had said. But Tiffany’s Third Thoughts said: Then turn selfishness into a weapon! Make all things yours! Make other lives and dreams and hopes yours! Protect them! Save them! Bring them into the sheepfold! Walk the gale for them! Keep away the wolf! My dreams! My brother! My family! My land! My world! How dare you try to take these things, because they are mine!

I have a duty!”

Getting evil from that is as simple as twisting that feeling into possessiveness, like the archetype of a western dragon with its hoard. Ironically, evil Ibani would make a lot of the same reforms as good Ibani, just for drastically different reasons. A dragon wants the biggest, best hoard it can get, after all. It says a lot about how bad life is under the Sith that COMPETENT evil like this would mean a vast improvement in the lives of people living in the Empire compared to what's currently in place.

Evil Ibani looks at the history of the Sith and makes two discoveries about where the Sith have gone wrong. The first problem is, of course, in-fighting. Clearly she needs to be unkillable and powerful enough to keep a lid on the rest of the Sith. The second discovery is one no other Sith seems to have made, that the second biggest threat to any Sith is their own mind. They NEED someone who is an equal that they can trust absolutely who can tell them when they are being a dumbass, can keep them company, keep them on an even keel.

How fortunate that she has Garyn Belvadares, who she loves and is loved by in return. Garyn Belvadares who has suffered so much at the whims of Fate and the gods and is destined for greatness. The current Sith Emperor consumed the life force of a planet to become something like an eldritch abomination/god/walking wound in the Force. It would make sense for her to become something similar if she fed upon Tamriel in the same way. And oh what sweet revenge upon the Aedra and Daedra for what they did to Garyn!
