Jessica would be either a black standard poodle or a black Maine Coon. This is entirely because of her fabulous hair and crafty self.

So Wei Wuxian gets multiple answers.
- My gut reaction is he's a cat. Willful, secretive about things he shouldn't be, shows love in ways people aren't expecting and some aren't looking for, vicious AF when provoked. He's also a Bengal, because (at least in his first life, before everything goes to hell) he's a pretty boy, an he knows it. (omfg I've never met a Bengal that doesn't know they're gorgeous)
- HOWEVER, Bunji is very much a fandom thing, and there's a LOT of 'Bunny Wangxian' out there, so in that life Wei Wuxian is a black Tan, for that great black-and-red color motif.

Jon wants to say he's a cat. He's wrong. He's a rabbit. Sorry Jon, but you are _not_ a carnivore by any stretch of the imagination, you were hunted from the word go. But! He's a Netherland Dwarf - small, grumpy, bites when provoked, bite-sized. Tell me I'm wrong. :D

Klaus is a dog. He also wants to say he's a cat - all independent and slinky and sleek, but NOPE. He's a dog, an abused dog at that, who's got a plethora of bad reactions ingrained to various situations and still returns to the people who hurt him. He's a Doberman - should be scary, isn't, may scream about minor inconveniences.

Cecil is a cat, a very needy cat who screams for his owner at 3am if left alone overnight, who sees ghosts in mirrors and hears things that aren't there, and yells about the daily events regardless of who is listening. He's a Balinese - talkative and friendly.

Zhang Chengling is a duckling, but that's not within the bounds of this ask, so he's a bunny. A sweet baby bunny who really has no clue how he ended up with two feral cats as his gay dads. He's a Mini Rex - so smol, so soft, so innocent, how could the world do this to him?

Gaster is an old, battle-scarred tom who lurks in alleys and looks super mean, but is actually a big softie.

Urania is a Russian Blue - an ancient breed, very intelligent and a bit aloof.

Phoenix is a Border Collie mix - smart, energetic, hard working - and, of course, he's a heterochromatic one.
