Wednesday DE: Tis Autumn
Hellooo Milliways. It's Hump-DAAAAAY and also the first day of Fall (here in the North-side, at least)!
To celebrate, let's do some Autumn-centric writing.
1. Post in with the pups you would like to write for
2. Others will tag with on-theme prompts (which can be anything related to the fall, think the changing of seasons, the harvest, colors, and it's never too early for Halloween!).
3. Then write anything you want, a fic of any length, a poem, a snippet, whatever the prompts inspire!
4. And finally, just like in Grade-school when you did the whole leaves under wax-paper thing, share them with the class!

Clark: Taking an Order
Lois shakes her head, distracted by the board she's studying. The board with their story all tacked up in snippets. Pieces of a puzzle waiting to be put together into a Pulitzer report.
"No, just coffee," Lois says, reaching out to pull the pin on a picture, moving it over and pinning it to a new spot.
Clark watches her, impressed as always by her focus and drive.
"Sugar?"
"No," Lois says, jotting a note on a Post-It and adding it to the photo.
He reads her note, mentally marking a spelling error, then turns his eyes back to her, watching as she thoughtfully chews on her pen.
"Creamer?" he offers, smiling at the way her nose scrunches when she's in deep thought.
"No," Lois says, dropping the pen from her lips and turning to shuffle through a stack of papers on the desk.
Her intensity is something to marvel at. It's also a little bit funny and Clark can't help messing with her just a little by refusing to leave just yet.
"Do you have a preference on blends? Personally I'm a medium roast guy but-- "
Lois heaves an exasperated sound, her eyes going skyward for a moment, praying to her better angels, before she turns around to face Clark.
"Okay, listen to me, Clark. I need a Coffee," Lois says, slowly and seriously while looking her cub reporter in the eyes. "Cof-fee. Not an iced mocha latte-something. Not a Pumpkin Spice frou-frou sippy drink. A coffee. Dark. Black. And with as much caffeine as absolutely possible. I want Mud, Smallville."
Turning around with a sigh, Lois runs her hand through her hair and gestures at the board and mess of paperwork scattered around her space.
"I'm going to need it if we're going to get through this."
Dutifully standing by, Clark listens and nods solemnly along to her words. With an emphatic order like that he doesn't really need to take notes, but he jots everything she says down on his notepad anyways.
"Got it," he says to her. A beat, and he smothers something close to a mischievous smile. "Anything to eat?"
"Clark, I'm going to kill you!" Lois exclaims, her exasperation cracking on a laugh as Clark successfully breaks her serious mood. She quickly covers it up and points a finger towards the door. "Get out of here!"
Clark just smiles and finally turns to leave, not missing the small smile Lois gives as she turns back to the story.

Charles closed his eyes and leaned back on his chair to remember playing in leaves with Raven. She would always try to blend into the leaves and scare him when he was walking through them. Those were good days. He opened his eyes again and soaked in Sean and Alex's joy.
