Wednesday DE: Everybody's working for the weekend
Helloooooooo Milliways, it's Hump-DAAAAAAAAY!
Hope everyone out there is surviving the grind.
Speaking of, today's question, what is your pup's "day job"? How do they make those dollah dollahs or credits, or whatever they spend to get by?

Right now, Klaus Hargreeves is making an (honest?) living being a soldier for the US Government. He didn't mean to, but here he is. Before that? Sex worker, basically. He might have tried to pass it off as 'my boyfriend is so sweet he's picking up the tab' except yeah, no, that's not what was happening. Before that?
Superherochild slave. Mmm, truth hurts, doesn't it Daddy Hargreeves?Jon is an archivist. No one (including him) said he was a good archivist. He's doing the best he can, he has no idea why he of all people was put on this job, but you try arguing with Elias Bouchard. It always goes so poorly.
(Also now disturbed that when I googled Elias' name to make sure I was spelling the last name right 'Elias Bouchard x Reader' was one of the autofills. No. OMG No.)
Cecil is a community radio show personality, and loves it, and will happily talk your ear off about it, possibly literally.

Sabine is an insurrectionist as well but does smuggler-type side jobs to keep the Ghost flying with the rest of the Spectres.
Viv is underage and thus her father's ward.
Jess works as a private investigator.
Tybalt is a king but he does have his own income. Since he can't work in the mortal world I am guessing his money comes from land investments or maybe the odd stash of cash that someone lost or forgot about, since all things lost becomes part of the Court of Cats.
Ben doesn't have a day job that pays money.
Alustin is a librarian errant. Nominally he retrieves overdue or wayward books that have been borrowed or procure new volumes. He also spies for his city-state/college but just as often he's the distraction for other librarian errants who are doing the spying. He's good at making enough noise to attract attention.
Wen Qing is a healer. I am honestly not sure if she charged for her services before coming to Milliways where she now uses her skills to earn her keep.

Cisco Ramon is an engineer who works for S.T.A.R. Labs. Originally he was paid to do sciency stuff, but now since S.T.A.R. Labs is all about Barry Allen and the Flash and his superheroic activities, Cisco is technically a paid member of a superhero team. He just can't put that on his business card, no matter how much he wants to.
Matt Murdock is a lawyer. He owns his own law firm with his partner Foggy Nelson and despite Matt often being the worst law partner (not lawyer, he's an excellent lawyer when he's actually Around to do the lawyer thing), they do well enough to keep the lights on. For now.
Logan runs a school and they get their funding from ah, various sources (look, he's lived a long time, he's known a lot of people, and he's done a lot of shit, it's probably best not to ask).
Bill Pardy is the sheriff of Wheelsy County.

Harry Dresden: he's a private investigator when he's not having to save the world

Abe no Seimei is a partner in a security firm that provides both mundane and magical services to a number of businesses you have probably heard of (including several casinos). He also has a financial stake in a lot of businesses in Kyoto and Osaka. When you have the power of divination and live for a very long time, you can invest for the long term.
Murderbot is a freelance security consultant, currently on a long-term contract with the Pansystem University of Mihira and New Tideland. Some of the specifics of its work under said contract are subject to a non-disclosure agreement, or maybe it just doesn’t want to tell you.

He's nobility but also he's lived through devastation and the world being literally torn apart?
Independently wealthy, doesn't actually have a source of income.
Lucifer is very wealthy indeed. It's better for everyone involved not to ask too many questions. Cause he will answer them.
Eric owns a nightclub. He's the Sheriff of Area 5. Also he has a hole in the wall (canon), filled with moolah.
In-bar, he has been know to take advantage of having access to, say, newspapers detailing future stock market events.
Eric's pretty smart.
He just does stupid shit all the time, so most people don't really notice.
