What does your character smell like, most of the time?

Secondary question, how is your character's sense of smell?

Sariel: Hygienic human, clean clothing, possibly some soft florals or spices, a hint of recycled ship's air (can't be helped, but at least it's clean air), ocean water, salt, foliage and sand (all of those indicate she's been home), and stars. The last is a joyfully accepted headcanon, and comes courtesy The Fox as played in Milliways. Simple_secret, whoever your mun is/was, I still love the description in narration that Fox gave after he sniffed Sariel, of her smelling like stars. As far as I'm concerned, it's totally true.

Peter - he's clean, probably smells like standard drug store/grocery store soap. His sense of smell if off the charts thanks to a little experimental arachnid.

Harry - he's a clean guy unless he's been dragged through demon slime or something. He's got your garden variety sense of smell, unless he does some magical thing or other to enhance it for some reason.

YT smells faintly of fruity bodywash, somewhat of sweat, all overlaid with exhaust and asphalt. Her sense of smell is about average.

Abe no Seimei smells of the incense he uses to scent his clothes, which is…well, it’s in his bio. Mostly algawood, with brackish undertones. He has a foxy sense of smell, and can also smell magic.

Murderbot usually smells like unscented soap. If you are the kind of thing that can smell pheromones, Murderbot has a curious lack of them. Its sweat does bot smell. It has a slightly better-than-average sense of smell by human standards. Canonically it finds any area frequented by humans to have a faint dirty sock smell.

Bastion smells like metal, machine lubricant, plants, and dirt, which comes together into a mixture not entirely unlike that of an electric lawnmower that doesn't get cleaned much between uses. (I specify electric because they notably don't smell like any kind of petroleum fuel - omnics, at least Bastion's generation, run on alcohol fuel cells.) Their sense of smell is pretty much human-average, although calibrated differently to account for the difference in what personal body odors are too constant to notice, but a robot having one at all is noteworthy; it works via chemical air-sampling sensors.

Wilson smells a bit sweaty and hair-greasey under a lot of woodsmoke, pine needles, dirt, and other forest odors. He's not as grubby as you might expect for a guy stuck in the wilderness with limited bathing options (the Constant is just like that) but impeccable cleanliness isn't really an achievable goal in that position. His sense of smell is also pretty average. Sometimes, not all the time but fairly often, he smells like blood; it's a coin flip whether it's his own or some animal's. Could be both.

Wormwood also smells like the forest, but without the human or machine smells of the previous two mixed in... and sometimes also like animal manure (usually pig, sometimes spider/gorilla monster or giant bird), which can be anywhere from a minor earthy note to a foul stench from the perspective of a human trying to have a conversation with them. When he blooms in lush season/springtime, he also smells floral. Wormwood's sense of smell isn't really more or less acute than a typical human's, but he has a very different idea of what smells good.

Our baker of extreme scent differences - depending on when you catch her, Sunshine either smells of the warm and comforting scents of baked goods, of lily-of-the-valley soap and hot water, or of blood and long-dead things.

Her sense of smell is pretty good. Well within the normal ranges for humans, but she does a lot with food and differentiating smells is an important skill there.
