Wednesday DE: mettle or something

Hello Milliways, it's Wednesday. We've made it to the middle of the week.

Once again I am going to riff off of Don and flip yesterday's question for today.

What are your character's strengths? What is their best attribute?

Ahsoka: Her adaptability and desire to help people. There are a lot more, but that is the base of her.

Jess: Her stubborn, snarky, in-your-face loyalty to her friends. She will call you out if it is needed but she will always have your back. She also sees you how you are, not how others see you. The best example I can think of is her making friends with Hulk and later pushing herself onto Banner since she was friends with the big guy. Banner tried pushing her away but she was having none of that.

Peter will be your BFF until you literally drop a building on him. he's smart as shit and loyal as heck. and all of that (building part aside) is BEFORE he got superpowers. he is the goodest boy. =)

Harry is selfless. the big lunkhead will throw himself in harm's way first to keep his friends safe. he's also pretty damned good at what he does - both as a wizard and a detective. even if he sometimes needs to be hit with a clue brick about some things.

As per interviews the writers have given, Yamato's are his loyalty -- he is the Crestbearer of Friendship, after all -- and his compassion. He'd probably refuse to admit the latter, or even recognise it in himself, but it's all over the place in the series: He befriends his enemies multiple times -- Pumpmon, Gotsumon, Juraimon, Machmon -- and he does it by virtue of his compassion. When he kills Pinocchimon, arguably the Dark Master who's done the most to personally hurt him, he waits with him while he dies, and when Abaddomon dies, it's Yamato who encourages him to live a good life in his next incarnation, only to stop himself, reflect that he doesn't have the right to say that, and just wish him the best.

It makes for an interesting turn on his association with death, because while there absolutely is an element of 'he can't be escaped once he starts hunting,' there's also an element of 'he's the one who guides people into death, the last companion you have, and is gentle and kind in that task regardless of what you did in life.' And Yamato is totally incapable of recognising that.
