Monday DE: I went to the zoo

Mrgh.

Monday has once again returned to us.

On the upside, though, this is a very short week for me - because I'm taking the last three days off, as Wednesday's my birthday! :D

So today's DE is in two parts.

- How does your pup celebrate or mark their birthday?
- If your pups don't have a canon birthday, do you make up a date for them? How do you choose? (For example, based on what you think their zodiac should be?)

For Dreamwidth account purposes, all my pups have my birthday (14 September), although I'll vary the year based on how old they 'really' are.

Max would usually have a party with her friends, but this year's birthday (Sept 21) was still too early in the year for her to have made enough friends at Blackwell to have a party. She had tea with Kate that day, though, and her parents sent her money and chocolates.

Sunshine's birthday sometimes coincides with a minor holiday in her world, falling on June 21st, which is often summer solstice. She most often has a minor celebration at the coffeehouse with colleagues and regulars who have become friends, and then goes out with Mel that evening if they both aren't working that night. Sometimes there are presents, but not always. If there are, they are usually consumable treats or something practical.

Max's birthday is canonical, but I chose Sunshine's. Yrael, the poor thing, doesn't have a birthday.

If my pup doesn't have a canon birthday or one I can find for certain, I usually will look to date or publication or release. I've also chosen the PB's birthday or just picked the day I made the original account.
