Let's get the party started. Here's the latest I wrote in a Gilded Age with sorcerers I'm currently working on:
"The first thing she pulled out was the small book she'd been commissioned to steal. It seem like nothing more than an old notebook or journal, but she knew better than to guess a book's worth by its appearance. Seeing no damage and confirming the character of the book by the description given her, she placed it in one of her inner jacket's pockets and moved to the next item."

I admit not too thrilling on it's own. I am also debating calling any magical book "codex" to distinguish between the mundane type. I know grimoire is a standard word for magical text but I want to play with words a bit.

So I've got a couple of wips going, Andor was good for my creativity but have added words to my Yuletide. I'll share one that's much harder than I expected which is a fic in the form of an AITA post from Jyn's point of view about Maarva and the whole early set up. This bit I don't think has any spoilers. But trying to find the right situation set up is hard and get the tone right.

Would I (F26) be the asshole for correcting someone in my bf’s hometown about his past. I actually want to tell her off because she calls my bf who is an engineering genius difficult and goes on about how his friends are low class and degenerates and he just takes it. She’s warned me that he has multiple women which no, he has women friends. That’s how we met, we know people in common.
