What brushes with celebrity connected to your fandom have you had?

I fully expect Bethan to win this one, but who knows?

I once got offered a strawberry by Viggo Mortensen at a signing of one of his poetry books :)

And my dad once did a work related project with his aunt.

(Denmark is a small place...)

mine sounds like a Clue guess: Pizza party with Jim Butcher on the hotel lobby floor =)

and since Jim wrote a Spider-Man novel - guess he counts for at least 2 of my characters.
i've also met a shit-tonne of Vancouver-based actors bc of Gatecon

*laughing* I totally missed this one when it was posted!

...Er.

- Good Omens: I've met both Gneil and Pterry a couple of times, either at signings or at conventions; Gneil signed my copy of Good Omens at Pterry's memorial. I also bumped into Rob, Pterry's PA, at the theatre once. TV cast-wise, I've met David Tennant (when he tried to nick our taxi on a night out! Also at stage door), Michael Sheen (...he's a local boy, it's practically cheating) and Sanjeev Bhaskar (at stage door when he was in Spamalot.

- Marvel: Nothing much for the comics, actually. I met Hugh Jackman at the theatre in London once? I think he was in town for The Greatest Showman. He's littler than I'd expected. A uni mate of mine was in a play with Hayley Atwell (Peggy), and I met her after a play as well. Oh, and Benedict Cumberbatch at a recording for his radio show, Cabin Pressure!

- Harry Potter: Met a couple of the cast when I used to do sci fi conventions; I mainly remember Alfie Enoch (Dean, who I actually used to play) being a real sweetie.

- RED: I have in fact met Helen Mirren! Briefly. When she was in The Audience, I tried so many times to get a return ticket and see it. On the night I succeeded, I did stage door afterwards to try to get a signed program - I would have succeeded, except I was forcibly shoved out of the way by one of those people who flogs autographs on eBay. So I wandered off, grumpily... only for Helen Mirren's car, the window rolled down, to pull up at the nearest red traffic light. She and I got to have a very quick chat before the lights changed, and I got to tell her how much I loved RED!

- Star Wars: The uni mate of mine who was in a play with Hayley Atwell had a role in Andor! (Sule played Lieutenant Gorn.) I've had a drink and nerded about Shakespeare with Harriet Walter, who had a tiny role in The Force Awakens, at the bar after she played the King in Henry IV. And Wedge Antilles (well, Denis Lawson) was on my train home from London last week... Oh! And I didn't meet him, but I've been to a gig by Riz Ahmed (Bodhi)'s band, the Swet Shop Boys.

- Inspector Morse/Endeavour: Nothing YET, but I'm seeing James Bradshaw (who plays my bb, Max DeBryn) in a play at the end of this month!

ETA: I'm a moron who forgot that the entire reason I'm an Endeavour fan is because of Roger Allam, who plays the second most important character. Saw him in a musical with my mates when I was about 20, got 21st birthday kisses from him at stage door for closing night of the same show (La Cage Aux Folles - still my favourite musical), and have been to pretty much every West End play he's done since. For the last one, he and his friends wound up sitting at the table next to me and my friends in the bar after the show, and they very sweetly shared their cakes with us!

...I swear I'm not meaning to show off. But, er. You did ask...
