Afternoon all! Sorry this is a bit late, I'm on leave today.

More of a general question today: when you're writing characters, is there a quality or aspect that you struggle with or tend to avoid?

For me it's religion. I don't have... whatever you need to be able to do religion (or atheism), and so none of my pups are actively religious. Some of them know (a) God exists, but they don't *believe* in them: it would be like believing in the furniture.

What's that for you?

I can't seem to write a villain that is completely reprehensible with no redeeming qualities. In fact in my original works I've taken to thinking of them as antagonists rather than villains because my brain will obsess and tell me over and over I am doing the villain wrong by them having some redeeming quality or motivation, even if they are doing the good motivation badly or wrong.

Fight scenes seem to be another challenge of mine.
