What does your pup offer to other people as a way to comfort them?
For example, here in the USA we tend to offer a glass of water, in the UK it tends to be a cup of tea, etc.

Klaus: ... Might offer alcohol, or some sort of semi-witty comment about said problem. That's about it.
Jon: ................... HEAVILY depending on who it is, he might offer tea, or an actually helpful suggestion. He might, alternatively, be a snarky asshole.
Cecil: He might actually be helpful and get you a drink or some bandages or whatever, he was a scout you know, he knows these things. He might help fix things, like how he once sold an entire wagon full of girl scout cookies for his niece. He might start rambling about the moon (ugh, the moon).
Ballister: Would get you some tea. Maybe alcohol, if you're not a) a kid or b) a shark. Sharks shouldn't have alcohol, Nimona.
