The Chosen probably play cards quite a lot on missions, but Yamato and Koushiro are forbidden from playing -- Koushiro because he's capable of and willing to count cards and no amount of shuffling can stop him from just tracking every card in the deck, and Yamato because every card smells slightly different and he can and will use that to cheat.

I think the only pup I have who would gamble beyond risk taking (like jumping out of a moving vehicle to get the bad guy) would be Alustin. He enjoys the risk of games of luck and seems to be good at them.
