Hi, everyone!
My name's
genarti, and I'm playing Will Stanton of Susan Cooper's The Dark Is Rising series. I'm afraid I too am rather a walking spoiler, because I'm playing Will at age 15, three years post-canon.
I'm introducing myself here rather than in the giant introductions thread because I figured more people would actually see it that way; let me know if that's wrong, please. At any rate, I'm 22, and from northeast America; having just graduated from college, I'm living at home in Vermont for the moment, but I still think of myself as being partly from Boston since that's where I went to school. (And where I hope to return, once I get a job.) I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, though I switched over pretty thoroughly to considering myself a Vermonter once we moved.
I've been following Milliway's avidly for about a week, though I only just managed to decide on a character and override my common sense enough to join this cracktastically wonderful place. This is my first LJ RPG, though I've RP'd before in bulletin boards and occasionally on IRC.
Oh, and if anyone wants to contact me, my email is in my profile, or my AIM name is Zebosity.
P.S. If anyone knows of a better picture than this, or an actor who looks more like Will than this, I will love you forever. I grabbed this icon because it was the first picture I found that looked vaguely right, and I wanted to go ahead and post already. I'm looking for a picture of a boy of about 15, with longish, straight brown hair (such as one would wear in about 1977, if one weren't terribly stylish) and a roundish face. Someone who looks like a regular British farm kid rather than a movie star. In the mean time, this'll do fine.

Gramarye says that Merriman should be coming in someday soon. Yay for DiR plotgames!
(and Squee over Will)

I saw his name on the list of members and squeed, but I wasn't sure if he'd actually show up any time soon.

But, yes, she's totally a goddess, and I reread DiR about a zillion times during my formative years. *grin*

Sorry, can't resist
Re: Sorry, can't resist
That's now stuck in my head.
I may have to kill someone.
GAAAAH!

Re: Sorry, can't resist
Did I mention how hilarious his reaction to the naked girl walking about was? "Er. Wow." XD

Re: Sorry, can't resist
omgcorruptedWillbwahahahahaha!
He needs to get drunk. Just for the Milliways experience.
Re: Sorry, can't resist
*tries unsuccessfully to repress a smirk*
I'm not sure if he can be persuaded to get drunk, really. But it would be interesting, that's for sure.
Re: Sorry, can't resist
Persuaded? What persuasion? This is Milliways. The cow will tramatize him so that he needs a stiff drink. And another. Make that one a double, will you?
Re: Sorry, can't resist
*smirks openly*
You're evil, you know that? Good show; carry on, please.
(Although, really, there are any number of characters I can point you to to answer the "what repression?" question. *cough*Bartleby*cough*)
Re: Sorry, can't resist
(Point. However, he'll have a happy, repressionless ending. He and the Fool will run off into the sunset together, since the cow ran off with Chuchu. And all will be well in the land of Milliways.]

...I'm not quite sure whether to hug you or throw things at you. Perhaps I'll throw soft fluffy pillows, or something.
