Okay, cos, uh. Mardi Gras, the more commonly-known name for Carnevale* is traditionally associated with the colours purple, green, and gold. And Carnevale, see, is the Christian adaptation of the Graeco-Roman Bacchanalia/Dionysia, the festival in honour of Bacchus/Dionysus. The, uh. God of fertility and, well, wine. So, um. Grapes.
