(no subject)

So, at some point, I'd like to attempt a completely psycho Bartleby. *points to icon* Probably towards the end of this month, so I have an excuse to be gone on holiday for four weeks. Anyone have any ideas a) what could tip him over the brink and b) how he (read I) would go about it?

Oh, and anyone want to be involved?

Questions from the new kid...

How old is young Tom?

And why is he valuing his soul a bit more these days?

Looking forward to the Drama and the Angst. This should be most interesting.

Tom is 27, plucked to Milliways via a potion he brewed from the Parselmouth Grimoire that Crowley destroyed for him the other day.

I have all the details on his user info page, but basically my version of Tom is that he has never been part of anyone else's life - even when he was at Hogwarts in Slytherin, he wouldn't have completely fit in because of his heritage. So no real friends, no family, nothing but himself and his destiny (his mother left him a letter written on her deathbed telling him he must avenge her death and that he's Slytherin's heir, etc), and his destiny has been all he had to hold onto. My Tom is very intellectually driven - I don't see him as being the sexual deviant a lot of other writers do ;) Not that there's anything wrong with that.

So, he's transported to Milliways where he finds out that he became a raving - and unsuccessful - loony, so he begins to question what all the hard work was for, if he loses everything anyway. He also begins to interact with entities for whom there is no black and white, only shades of grey. The night of the Wings Incident he works with an Auror and Lucifer to save an angel's life, and that opened his eyes a bit.

And then he meets Door. That's probably the biggest event for his character so far.

I'm not sure what's going to happen, because even as young as he is, he's done some terrible things. He has always lied easily and well, and that's not going to change for awhile. He also has a problem admitting he's not in control of things, and the Dark magic - well, that might still be his downfall. But he's valuing his soul because he just discovered he had one.

Does that answer your question? It's hard being an almost irrevocably evil character, eh? But someone has to do it :P I don't envy you though, you have a tough character, because Peter's actions were personal.
