The Sorceress/Wizard smackdown
It would appear that there has been a misunderstanding of significant proportions. Summary of events:
Tom speaks with Peter about the threat of Moiraine. Tom worries about Door, as usual.
Tom and Door talk about what to do. Door kindly reminds him that she does not need his permission if she wants to kill Moiraine. Tom gulps. Tom's not about to back down or hide, and he decides to confront Moiraine, hoping that words will be enough to deal with whatever situation presents itself.
Door and Tom walk up to the bar with Tom practically daring Moiraine to come and chat.
Mogget talks to Door and it's all very cute. Mogget warns her to watch out for Moiraine, and he offers the use of his stunning bell collar if it is needed.
Tom and Moiraine commence verbal sparring
Tom says "Madame" in a snotty way frequently, and Moiraine sighs and looks calm and serene. A lot. They discuss differences in magics from each of their worlds, choices, what she plans to do in this world, and the Dark One or lack thereof. Somewhere in there Moiraine asks if Tom can help her with a portal back to her world since she's heard of his talents.
Door enters the conversation and discusses the nature of magic on different worlds.
She and Moiraine also skirt around the issue of Tom, with Door being loyal and Moiraine being enigmatic (what a surprise.)
Tom starts getting tetchy about lack of answers from Moiraine, and he lets his anger get the better of his mouth.
Then he slips up and the magic hits the fan
Moiraine is really only preparing to protect herself by drawing on her power, having sensed the Darkness in Tom - she does not attack. Door, on the other hand, freaks out and tries to open her. Moiraine tries to explain. Aziraphael, Crowley, Will Stanton, and Tonks rush over to help. Willow also enters the scene.
Meanwhile, Tom has had an unintentional reaction to Moiraine's drawing of power. His Darkness calls to the tainted saidin and the saidin rushes into him before he can stop it. So - no evil done by Moiraine intentionally, and no evil done by Tom intentionally.
Tom is lost in hallucinations of all the horrible things he's done or could do as Aziraphael works on healing him. Tom sees the bright white light of the angel and begins to slowly come back from the terrible visions.
Moiraine keeps trying to explain and offers to help Tom by removing the saidin taint he inadvertently drew into himself. Crowley threatens her in wonderful ways and calls her tricksy. Door is released from the Weaving spell by the efforts of Willow and Tonks and rushes to Tom. Regulus and Mat come in, and everyone's on Moiraine's case.
Door rushes to Tom, frantic she's going to lose him.
Door is not about to let Moiraine touch Tom, and Mat doesn't help matters. Crowley promises Door the killing blow if Moiraine does anything. Aziraphael scolds everyone for all the killing talk.
Finally Moiraine is allowed to come help Aziraphael heal Tom.
Moiraine tells Tom that the only way she can heal him is if he releases the saidin.
He does. His magic is intact,and the Dark side of him seems more subdued. He's very sick and out of it. He apologizes to Door. She is nearly very upset, relieved, and scared.
Tom boggles that Moiraine actually helped him. He also makes it clear that he didn't intend to draw the Dark power from her. She seems to realize this is the truth.
Tonks makes sure Door can get Tom back home, and they leave so Tom can get some rest.
Meanwhile, healing Tom has taken it out of Aziraphael and Crowley whisks him out of the bar in an adorable manner, as Aziraphael asks him to "Stay w'me". Awwww....
Peter thanks Moiraine and Aziraphael for helping Tom and tells Moiraine he may have been wrong about her.
Then Peter and Will Stanton chat about the Light and Dark in their respective worlds.
Moiraine has had a rough night, but Mat has a few more choice words for her
So now Moiraine has had time to reflect on the horrid events.
Tom is currently asleep with Door hovering over him, making sure she's there when he wakes up from the nightmares. He still feels sick and very tired, but he'll be fine. He is very pleased to know that he has so many friends at Milliways who would rush to his aid. And he's a little sorry nothing got broken in this fight for Sirius to have to fix.

That was really hard...
Ok, no dramatic threadzillas for Tom for awhile unless they deal with Door schmoop/smut and/or funny events. He's in the mood for a rest and less angst. For a day or so, anyway. :P

For IC purposes, Peter was listening to the conversation between Moiraine, Tom and Door. Moiraine's seizure of Door and Tom's reaction to saidin happened almost instantly. Peter feared that trying to rescue Door by magical force would be as dangerous as an open attack, and that Tom would be irrevocably damaged if Peter, obeyed his instincts and tried to heal an injury that he could not fathom. Hence his prayers, which he was hoping might aid Aziraphale in healing Tom.
