Indiana Jones in New Loompaland (summary)
Here be the abridged version of a week of absolute insanity and cracky creativity.
But first, a little background. This plot was not planned at all. It just came in a flash while I was at work and brain dead on Monday morning after the cocktail party insanity of the night before. I asked Karen if the Loompas were coming to clean the suite and then realized Indy was passed out on the floor. Karen happily obliged and the rest, as they say, is history.
INDIANA JONES IN NEW LOOMPALAND
[Monday 5:43 AM] After a successful cocktail party in his and Mike's suite, Indiana Jones passes out on the living room floor after a few too many absinthes.
[Monday 9:00 AM] A team of rookie housekeeping Oompa Loompas make a grave error during the clean up operation.
[Monday 7:00 PM] Ten hours later, Indy wakes up with a bitch of a hangover... in a trash compactor... in the bowels of Milliways. He escapes a squishing thanks to Warren's technological genius.
[Monday 8:00 PM] Having found a way out of the Cistern, Indy is then apprehended by the Loompa SWAT team, since people of the bar must not discover their secret civilization.
[Monday 11:00 PM] Indy is disrobed and put in a marshmallow-padded cell at the Police Station until the Loompa Council can convene.
[Tuesday 1:00 PM] Michaelangelo finally gets his ass out of bed and discovers some worrying signs in the living room of the suite. A conclusion is jumped to. It's wrong, but very amusing.
[Tuesday 11:00 PM] Later, in the bar, Mike gives Bernard the bad news and gets some ideas in return.
[Wednesday 1:00 PM] After a failed attempt to coax the Loompas back to the suite by trashing it, Mike starts to look for the secret door to their world. He has interesting chats with a former-CSI, a Timelord, a fellow adventurer and a superhero. And then a curious little girl happens across him. They chat and a solution presents itself in the form of Dr Evil's timely entry, complete with Mini-Me. The business savvy Turtle Wexler drives a hard bargain and the Littlest Loompa™ sells out his former comrades, granting Mike and his new sidekick access to the underbar world.
[Wednesday 2:00 PM] Mike and Turtle don disguises and infiltrate New Loompaland.
[Wednesday 1:15 PM] Meanwhile, Indy makes a semi-successful escape attempt but winds up in an even worse situation—trapped inna bar of chocolate for his own safety.
[Wednesday 4:00 PM] Mike and Turtle sneak through the quiet streets while Indy starts to lick his way out of the mess.
[Wednesday 4:15 PM] The rescue party arrive at the Police Station during naptime. Turtle finds some Rogue Loompas in lock-up and liberates them in return for their promise to aid the escape. Mike finds the be-chocolated Indy, takes a Polaroid picture and then frees him. Indy has chocolate blindness. Turtle is not amused to finally find out who she was brought along to rescue. Indy needs clothes liek wo and finds some boots and a pair of Alanna's breeches as they flee for the monorail.
[Wednesday 4:45 PM] A thrilling monorail chase ensues, with Turtle at the helm and the boys on the roof. Fighting, stunts and lots of movie rip offs.
[Wednesday 5:30 PM] Having jumped a chasm (in a monorail train) and left the chasing Security team behind, the group starts looking for a way out. Turtle scrambles up a rabbit hole into the lake area with the Rogue Loompas, and leaves a note with Bar for anyone who asks about Mike and Indy.
[Friday 7:30 PM] Apparently, no-one asked, because two days later Indy and Mike are still wandering blindly around the dark labyrinth of tunnels, completely lost. They aren't especially happy, until they find the way out into the parking garage.
[Friday 10:30 PM] Indy and Mike return to the bar safe and sound, with lots to tell Bernard. But Bernard is busy getting engaged, so... meh. Get some food, tell the Valkyrie and the Aes Sadai why you're wearing tights... and go to bed.
So much fun, and don't think that this is the end of the plot at all... *shifty*
