Summary of the millicircus plot so far!
Because it is pretty huge and I'd feel guilty if a millichanneller had to try and follow it, here is a summary of the circus plot so far!
While meeting Xander inna tutu for the first time, and being mistaken for Willow briefly (again), Shelley finds out more about Meg's tutuing habits, and Xander tempts her into helping him get the ballerina into a clown suit for VENGEANCE. Their conversation then turn to having an actual circus, and there is a Plan. Fear.
A few days later, Xander puts up a notice in the bar calling for auditionees, which gathers interest from quite a few patrons - some of whom have to be talked into it by Xander, but still. Meanwhile, Shelley wanders about trying to recruit Tony, Charlie and Aziraphael, before heading out to set up the auditions by the lake.
Rhalen appears first and shows off his magic yet more to Shelley who fangirls slightly and assures him he is in. Meanwhile, Tim Hunter approaches Xander, and after assuring him that rumours of his death had been greatly exaggerated, gets signed up as a sword eater and general illusionist. Charlie Pace demonstrates his upside-down walking talent, and is promptly recruited, as is Ludo for his rock-taming abilities. (Come on now, in Milliways lion-taming would be rather dull.Unless anyone wanted to take on the Jesus-kitty.) Chase and his tutu attempt to watch from a safe vantage point, but unfortunately they are no match for Shelley and her megaphone, and although he cannot be convinced to perform, he does agree to handle the technical side of things. Next, Tahiri suggests a possible mock-lightsaber duel to Xander, who is impressed by her Jedi-ness and agrees enthusiastically, then also appoints Zedd Mr. Pyrotechnics for his mad firework skillz. Shelley then pressgangs Angie Johnson and Mozenrath, neither of whom had intended to audition, into giving smaller performances using their particular brands of magic. Garion offers his ability as a shapeshifter to Xander, and Q approaches Shelley for the ringmaster job, and promptly pwnz all possible competition. Mike also volunteers to be a clown/acrobat if his broken leg is better in time.
On the non-audition front, while watching, Ryan Beckwith is identified (correctly) by Xander as Tim Jones' Drunken Friend. Xander is initially suspicious, but Ryan gains his grudging acceptance but managing to recite the alphabet backwards on one leg. Xander is also harrassed by the Trips, but manages to shoo them off. For now.
