Quick random head-up
I know people have wondered occasionally why I put feminine pronouns in italics when AS is female-shaped, and I said there is a reason, once or twice, but I never actually explained.
It's totally banal: using a straight 'she' in the narrative parts felt as if both AS and me-the-mun considered him completely female at that point, as my narrative combines internal monologue with 3rd person omniscient. I tried putting it in inverted commas (as above), but then it felt as if he was a transvestite. Then I tried italics, and found it works for me.
No over-emphasis meant by it.
That's all. Thank you.
