Indy and Mike bartending summary
So, this week Karen and I thought that with all the woe, we'd just have Mike and Indy give people their drinks, be terse and wrap quickly, resulting in a pretty short little tending post. Nine hours and 420 comments later, we were proven wrong:
[Mike & Indy] Pre-bartending, Indy fills Mike in on all the doom and they talk about Mel leaving in unRPed conversation, because we're lazy muns and Karen had computer problems.
[Elaine & Indy] Indy meets Elaine, and quickly desseminates the doom about Tonks, Bill and Svava. Introductory chat follows. Elaine promises to let Indy see the picture of Asguard she and Svava were working on, when she finishes it.
[Lilly & Indy] Lilly and Indy compare notes on the Hogsmeade Doom, before Indy breaks the news about Svava. Some lighter conversation about love lives, love, and life follows. Lilly then breaks Indy with her flippancy about her own intended length of stay, but she manages to calm him with cute-rationale after hearing about Mel's impending attempt to leave. Grumpy old Indy will not be attending the Solstice Party, so Lilly deangsts with tickles and a stomach zerbert.
[Cole & Indy] Good bourbon for Cole, and Indy fills him in on the Attack, inspiring the ex-demon to start gathering information on Death Eaters for his new Book of Shadows.
[Andrew Largeman & Mike] Fighting through the I kissed your girlfriend awkwardness, Large wonders where Raph is. Large has theories regarding April, Mike has theories regarding the Tonks abduction. Some of them may even be right.
[Starbuck, Indy & Mike] Starbuck wanders in for a cigar and has some of the usual banter with Indy, after all the doom is matched off. Her woeful sex life becomes the hot topic, and there's a reason behind her drought somewhere. Indy is an ass. Then he follows up on a previous conversation they'd had regarding a certain artefact that can allow her people find Earth. After a bit of explorer Q&A, Mike is volunteered for the quest, and much fun planning banter follows. Indy gets to go with them. Mission accepted... watch this space for the kick off.
[Meg & Indy] Meg gets to find out about the Attack. There are snappish moments as Indy gets fractious about her doom coping mechanisms after telling her about Mel. The need for happy is decreed, so they talk about Derry, the return of normal Ace and the Tonks' pregnancy. I've done my duty to pass on the news, now I can sit back and let nature take its ballerina-driven gossipy course.
[Miscellaneous] In other threads, Ace gets an alcoholic chocolate milkshake from Mike, Baldrick gets a download on the doom from Indy and is told to meet more people if he wants to get laid, Grissom gets a Scotch from Mike and notes doom, Baldrick takes Logan's food order, Wowbagger returns and Mike has to consult the recipe book to make his first Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster before finding out about the alien's longevity, mission in life, and pointing him Tim's way.
