This is an issue that has come up several times over the last few months, and was going to be included in the FAQ, but we see a pressing need to inform you all about it now.

Millicanon Rules for Dead Patrons

A)Reproduction

Dead people cannot reproduce. Just as they do not age, they do not produce viable sperm or ova or alien what-have-yous.

B)Metaphysical State Upon Leaving the Bar

You choose, according to your canon's rules, whether or not your character leaves the Bar for other 'verses as a ghost or as a corporeal being. But! If you choose to take your lovely dead character out as a corporeal body, that character has 4.5 days in that 'verse until he, she, or it begins to fade into non-corporeality.

Is there anything we're missing here? Anything you'd like to see defined?

Solstice party yay!

The Solstice party is taking place here and the whole bar is invited. Kilts are appropriate for those who wish to wear them but not required.

Usual party etiquette applies: there are separate comments for the various party activities, you can have however many subthreads you like, whatever plot or drama you wish, and the point of the whole thing is for the pups to relax and have fun. There's plenty of food and drink (having a divine character is the best evah), a place for dancing, another for games and another still for swimming. A separate bonfire post will go up later today.

Your host will be in and out all day, depending on how the workday goes, so if you ping Jack it may be a while before I can respond. I'll try to be on AIM whenever I can and my username is minorblue in case there's anything that needs discussing. Slowtimed threads are absolutely welcome.

Yours truly is going to try and get a little more sleep, but don't wait on me to get the party started.

Brief hiatus

I'm going to be on vacation in Las Vegas Wednesday through Sunday of this week. VEGAS BABY! Um... sorry.

For the purposes of RP, I'll be available for emergency plotting and single threads thanks to wireless at the hotel and a laptop. Email will be checked, and crack chat frequented for a short time each day. I'll just need a day's notice if anything comes up. Not that it should. Indy will be around, and taking his shifts by the fireplace to relieve Alanna in the Valkyrie Vigil. He'll also do tuition with Claire as usual.

I should be back in time to run bartending next Monday, though Karen probably won't be. And on this line, neither of us will be around on July 4th, for obvious reasons. Indy and Mike aren't slacking off however. They'll be tending without a post while their muns play, if that's ok.

Sooo... um... that's it. Yay! Vacation.

H'okay. I will be in St. Louis from Thursday to next Monday, for, among other things, my cousin's ballet recital and a Serenity preview screening. Guess which one I'm more looking forward to.

I have no idea what my relatives' internet status is, and thus no idea what my availability will be. I'll be on if I can. If not, Cuthbert is hanging around the bar doing nothing much, and Zoe is hanging around on Serenity doing nothing much. As always, other DT/FF muns can god as needed.

Also--might anyone else be happening to go to the St. Louis screening on the 23rd? And if so, want to try and meet up? (Emphasis on try, as I'm having enough of a time just getting my tickets and getting to the theater.)

Summary!

As Fahye went to bed, I've summarized the Lucifer-Adam thread from earlier, but cannot add it to the post for the millichannelers. So:

Lucifer's in the bar and spots Adam, and realizes that Adam is using his power to keep his eyes green. He makes cutting jabs about Lucy's sexual habits and Adam's vanity and wonders if Lucy knows what Adam did before working for Aziraphael.

Lucifer makes a vague comment about the state of the bookshop, currently, and Adam bites. Adam doesn't know about Crowley yet, and Lucifer tells him, albeit in a long and roundabout way.

Adam's angry that Lucifer isn't doing anything to bring Crowley back and generally feels that it's all very unfair.

There's a fine line between business and existence for some creatures, and Adam argues that existence should go away, not thinking about how that would affect Lucifer. Lucifer calls him out on his immaturity and when Adam calls Lucifer out on his lack of caring as well as parental skills, he finds out that Lucifer cares a bit too much.

Lucifer puts things in simple terms, and Adam puts two and two together. Lucifer loved once, as an angel, and, after much deliberation, Lucifer tells Adam about Moriel. Another angel, the one Lucifer loved, and the reason Lucifer fell.

Adam asks what it is that the Angel of Vengeance does, exactly, and is thrown by the answer.

There is drinking and snarking, and they eventually go their own ways.

I'm one more person who's going to be out of town for a bit this weekend -- Thursday through Sunday for me. E-mail might be happening, but AIM and RP will definitely not. As usual, Wash'll be on Serenity and Roger will be upstairs; FF muns have permission to god Wash a bit if necessary.

• I will be out of town from June 26-July 02, in Williamsburg.  (And I get to visit 'Lise!  Yay!)  I'm taking the laptop, because honestly, not much I plan to do there.  So I may or may not be around for RP much.  We'll see. 


• Del Plot starts when I get back.  (July 3rd.)  There is an e-mail almost ready to be sent out to people explaining what will happen/what role their pups have.


• For the Del Plot, the following is the (vague) outline of events as they will happen:
  -July 3rd: OOM of DOOM is posted.  Those who have thing(s) planned to happen to their characters--you know what it is/will know when e-mail is sent if you don't now--will have it happen then.
  -July 7th: OOM of Not Quite Doom is posted.  Effect to the bar patrons involved in plot--minimal.
  -July 7th: Del returns to the bar.
  -July 9th: All creatures made by Delirium--ever--disappear.
  -July 9th: Derry's eyes turn brown, as does her hair.  No more blue mango juice.  Other things she's done/does continue to happen.
  -July 10th - July 21st: Events that I'm not sharing at this time occur.  If they effect your pup, you'll be told ahead of time.
  -July 22nd:  For better or worse--and it might be both, really--plot ends.  More or less.  The mun is vague.  The pups who've had things happen to them return to normal.  Or what passes for normal in Milliways.  Explanations for events--why Edmund was the one to get Derry, why, after entering the Bar originally last year Delirium disappeared for a month, among other things--will be given, at this point, if they haven't been already.
  -July 23rd: Surprise.

question about getting a job in the bar

I had a question about how a character goes about getting a job in security. Since Lian ( like_father ) is dead and bound to the bar, and would like to work. And considering she used to be a hero during her life, she would like to work there. Especially since she's heard that Barry Allen works in that division.

So I was wondering how that could come about?
