So! The Amalgam plot, AKA Tim war three.

For those who didn't see the post last week, this plot involves going to the world of Hellspawn, wherein people will end up amalgamted, ie crossed, with each other.

A few ground rules, however.

1)The amalgamations will only be for outside of the bar, in this world. Please do not bring them back into the bar amalgamated for any reason. Without express Mod approval.

2)When whichever two pups become amalgamated, they will not know anything is wrong. To them, they have always been this person, with whatever history you come up with for them.

3)Once they return, both pups will, unless you decide otherwise, remember the events under the amalgamation.

Sound good? Good. Now, as I see it, there's three ways of doing this, which is open for you to choose. What I think would work best, is no matter which way it happens, to offer up two pups for this, any of the following combinations.

1)Take two of your own pups, and merge them.
2)Select one of your pups that you want to be your main pup, to be merged with someone elses pup, and take a second pup to offer up to whoever wants to use it. That will of course be something that would need to be talked about between muns, but if someone chooses this, and you see a second that you'd want, comment on it... I hope that makes sense.
3)If you have someone who you work closely with, or can, and you both have decided to work the pup together.

I would prefer, for simplicities sake, to only have one amalgamted pup per mun, if at all possible, just to keep things easy. Feel free to offer up any number of seconds though, if you want. Might help fr those rare muns who only have one pup.

Once More With Feeling Plot

Just the facts:

Plot will start March 15 and run to about the 22nd. This is entirely arbitrarily chosen because I like the Ides of March.

I need a volunteer to help set the plot in motion. Please email me if you'd like your pup to be the sacrificial lamb, as it were.

Also in this post: there will be two comment threads below. 1) I need help writing a filk and 2) I volunteer to help writing filks. Please place yourself accordingly.

Involvement: Just the singing and dancing until we get to the climax, which still needs to be worked out. There'll be a post about that, but not yet and here it is.

Reserved Characters

Could someone please clear up for me, once and for all, the exact process necessary to put a character on the reserved list?

I have tried for the past three months to get a character reserved using various methods, and it's yet to happen.

I'm clearly doing something wrong, but the FAQ isn't very helpful in that arena.

Have just updated the userinfo to reflect this, but -- just a reminder that if your character's name or fandom contains an apostrophe, you MUST use the ` key from the upper left-hand corner of the keyboard rather than the ' next to the enter key. If you do not do so, your cast list app will simply disappear into the unknown.

Especially you, hollywdcockroch! Remember how Carl Denham & Co. were going to put on a musical spectacular adaptation of Twelfth Night? The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey might have had a few tips for the ill-fated production!

Also, does anyone remember the name of the support community that was set up for Milliwaysers doing NaNo this past fall? Because I realized something shocking this evening, namely that the amount of writing I did for Milliways in February was almost halfway to winning NaNo. Jinkies, guys! I love you all.
