So, I'm off to London to see kevin spacey omggg!! 'til Friday. Which means that lack of tagging is because I'm actually not here, and not because I'm flaking. People who Sands/Luna owe tags will get them when I come back. Have fun with the tofu while I'm gone!

This is not a retirement post

It is, however, a notice of extended absence. Real life got a lot busier on me after the summer, and it's not looking like it's going to slow down any time soon as I've got a few big life events coming up in the next year. I'm also going back to school full time in January and I don't think that's going to help increase my spare time any, so!

As of this OOM and these notes (the second one is being delivered to anyone Lilly's ever met and quite possibly a few people she hasn't), Lilly's out of the bar for wacky fun adventures in My Little Pony land.

I would like to bring her back in some time, hence this not being an absolute retirement, I just don't know how and when that's going to work out. So until my RL settles down a little, Lilly will be off fighting the glittery fight and having a fabulous time doing it.

Thanks to everyone who's been so wonderfully patient with me when everything got so hectic, and I hope to play with you all again soon!

Spam, Madb, spam.

So usually I do the "thanking" post at the end of a plot. Then I realized some things.

1) This isn't my plot. Never was, and its grown way beyond anything I could pretend to run.
2) Quite frankly, my OOC part has only just been facilitation anyway. I'll answer general questions, but Star is running the deyupping and Steahl is in charge of contamination.
3) My IC part is done. Oh, so done.

So, without further ado, the thanks post (Madb Edition, Tofu Issue):

I want to thank the people who wandered past and comforted Suz. In particular the hands behind Angel, April, and Sara, as well as Leesha and Karen. Everything y'all did was (and is!) appreciated both IC and OOC.

I want to thank the people who have been, and are, under Tofu. Its a trip watching the full spectrum of reactions. Current favorites include the penguins and dalek on the crack side, and Mel and Stephanie on the dark side.

And, of course, I want to thank Cam. We did not expect that this would hit Suzi and Whistler as hard as it did, and she did a wonderful job of keeping him Whistler while having him be someone else entirely. It was creepy, it was breaky, it was beautifully written. Never again with these characters, 'kay? ;)

Twas the night before...Holiday?

The great thing about being in Milliways and on the internet, is that ages ago in the 1980s there were all these dudes who figured out a way for all of us to be connected in this intensely awesome way. To share illicit photographs and meme ideas like this one.

I'm betting, that from whatever walk of life you come from, whatever religion, practice, etc-we've all heard-
The Night Before Christmas?

So I'm driving in the car and my mom puts on this holiday album she got from target with a little girl and her "Uncle" Sydney retelling the Night before christmas to her. He gets the names screwed up, he tries to explain the most pointless parts, And it ends with him throwing a shoe at Santa Claus.

So I said to myself, "Self? This would make a great holiday meme!"

So. Your character/puppets/collective are tucking in children, family members, sitting around a campfire, and the children say "Dad-Mom-Parental Unit thing? Will you read me the night before christmas?"

....In so many words, "Have your character tell the nightmare before christmas."

Nobody can remember the entire poem, chances are they'll add their own embelishments-It's fun! And Holiday themed! (Tis the season for corporate coca-cola icons since the modern conception of Santa Claus according to my research originated from a coca-cola ad?) It could be Erastide. Or like-christmas in the 1800s.

As of this post, and with Bernard's permission, Belar has created three mountains on the other side of the lake. He's done his best to keep the process from causing geological problems or earthquakes, although people who tag into that thread would be well advised to assume that anywhere between Belar and the mountains is probably going to have some ground-shaking going on.

The mountains have been specially constructed with skiing and other winter sports in mind, including easy-access trails and passages for getting up to the slopes. Belar's been spending a lot of time in British Columbia and rather likes the mountains in the vicinity of Kelowna.

He will store them in the Dreaming if necessary, as he told Bernard he would do so. It's only courteous.
