Arigatou gozaimasu!
Jan. 19th, 2007 12:35 amThis is me thanking you, because I am a big sappy creampuff.
In the past two days, I've had threads with a bunch of complete strangers, have been approached by the same over im and email, and generally made to feel like the world abruptly changed axis for a few hours. I have recieved two letters of gratitude -- one of which made me cry due to it's content (you know who you are; I'm glad for you, and my thoughts are with you) -- and in general, made to feel as if I am Hiro, after his first glorious 'port to New York. Yatta!
For those who don't know, there was Drama in the Heroes cast over the casting of Hiro. Tiny, insignificant drama. Some people didn't like some things; they chose to leave. Others didn't. We moved on; apps were sent and approved. But it's worth noting that there was some deep apprehension after I got the character. I posted him in, I held my breath. About ten, twenty minutes went by without a tag...
...and then I drowned in them; in IMs, in email, in tags... and apparently, I wasn't the only one that was gleeful over it. From the way some of you have come out of the woodwork -- people I've never spoken to, or have only heard of, or read threads of...
Thank you so much.
I am very grateful for this chance to not only expand the cast, and it's RP, as well as enjoy myself with new people-- but honestly? I'm grateful that I've inspired so many people and I'm glad you're as excited as I am. I'm grateful to know I touched you; that you laughed out loud, that I made your day brighter. There's been a lot of comments and ims and emails-- too many to seriously reply to each of you individually (which boggles my mind)... But it means something, and I wanted to say so. Hearing back from you -- over roleplay, even! -- means a lot to me; knowing simply that I made your day-- I'm glad! Whether you aren't familiar with Hiro or his canon, or you are -- the lot of you. You've made me feel like I'm walkin' on rose petals instead of on eggshells.
So. arigatou gozaimasu, Milliways! I'm glad we could make things great for each other!
