Well, it's rainy and gray here, and I am more chipper right now than I've been in weeks at this time of the morning.

(Admittedly, I just discovered that the deli downstairs carries Naked Juice, so there are other factors involved. Mmmm Orange Mango Motion.)

Has there ever been a fandom that you avoided (for reasons other than you personally didn't like it after trying it)? Like (as an example -- sorry Aspen!) Aspen doesn't watch Pushing Daisies because she's afraid she'll like it and then it'll get cancelled. Any other examples out there?

ETA: And because I forgot to say earlier: Whoever gave Mal a paid time extension -- xiexie. *sprinkles you in glitter and such*

There is a posh work dinner tonight at my so-called 'slavery'; first, all the wage slaves have to listen to some motivational speeches, and then we can dig in. Like the Salvation Army, only with wine and posher food.-

Will take tags when I return around my midnight, and put up a proper post tomorrow.-

Er, now imagine the scene: me at work, reminding myself to post in the back room before I forget, and me at home, hours later, rushing to write this because it's 9:41 and I, er, forgot. Right.

I think, hadn't last year been last year, I wouldn't bother to post, because, really, who cares about your Milliversary? It's not the same as your birthday, it's not a national holiday, it's just another year you spent at a pretendy fun time game. If you've been here three years like me it's probably time to get a life (me talking to myself, here; you know how you're always your own worst critic). But last year was last year, and I feel obligated, in a good way, to talk.

We always talk about how we've made great friends here. It's true. Over the past three years I've made (and lost) fantastic, intelligent, articulate, kind friends, and I've met people of the same caliber. Here you can throw a coin and it'll hit someone who's made of win. But, honestly, I took all that awesome for granted up until last month. Last month really and truly showed me just how wonderful everyone here is. If it weren't for you all, the friends I've made here and the people who play here, I probably would have been dead. Now, because of your encouragement, I'm making steps to get better, and already I am a lot better, as you can see by the unending chain of Simon Skinner OOMs I cannot seem to stop writing. I doubt I would've been able to do that in my previous mental state. But I digress.

I want to thank you all, every single one of you, for being awesome. If you don't think you're awesome--*thwaps* I think that enough about myself for ten bajillion people, and you're probably included in that bajillion. It does not matter who you are, who you play, and how you play. You are awesome because you are here, having fun, and sharing that fun with others, whether those others are in a large circle of friends or a small one, or whether those others are strangers. You are sharing your fun, and therefore your joy, and therefore maybe, or maybe more than likely maybe, are making that other person's day just a little bit better. And that, I think, is worth a lot.

Two days late: A remembrance of a Milliversary past.

Uhm.

No long posts about how it's changed my life (though it has), or the friends I've made and lost (I've done both) over my time here, or anything else. Just--

Glad to be here. See you in another year!
