Hey hey guys! It's Saturday somewhere in the multiverse, right? (...maybe there's a whole world out there where every day is Saturday. How awesome would that be?)

Anyhow, threadpimping time!

Cue crazy sax solo.

Hey folks! Those of you threading with [livejournal.com profile] aimedforthemoon and [livejournal.com profile] mycursedface?

My brain has decided to crash, and I can't get any more sense out of it. So, slowtimes all around, and I'll tagback when I can!

Okay! One more recruitmentish post for the Empty Child plot.

If anyone wanted their character infected who hasn't already been, can you let me know here? Just so I can make sure to get everyone in before the cure.

Can it be? Sunday without indulgences?! Let it not be so!

I personally am digging all the threads in my Milliversary post, although Artemis and X5-494 are giving me particular gigglefits at the moment.

So, what've you all been up to this past week?

So it's approaching the Norse winter, and for Weyland that means devoting even more of his time to two things: forgework, and messing with mortals (as one does when it is too cold to go outside).

Consider it a sale on magic and/or psychological trauma. If one of your characters wants to have something crafted for them--anything of metal, with any magic effects imaginable, or just mundane and beautiful--it can be arranged. It may be expensive, painful, unpleasant, but he is bound by oath not to turn down any offer of commission. (Questing for exotic materials is a strong possibility, though.)

Or if you want to be more sadistic to your character, you can do as Esfir did and get kidnapped for a while. It's entirely up to you whether you want them to win or lose, and the reward or punishment is certainly open to discussion.

There are two cautions I would add. One: the way his magic works is by balance. Like Odin being a sacrifice for nine days to learn the runes, like Freyr giving up the sword that would've saved him at the end of the world for the sake of love; if you want something, you've got to be willing to give something else up. And two: given that besides his skill at crafting, Weyland is most famous in folklore for brutal and cold-blooded revenge, it would not be a sweetness-and-light arrangement. It would all be OOCly consensual, of course, but ICly that's the kind of world he comes from.

So if you're interested, let me know (via message, email, AIM between 6 and 10:30 PM EST or on weekends) and we can work something out, or you can just ask him in the bar for general commissions.
