Congratulations! Your pup's canon has just radically shifted genre. The story is still the same, but instead of being, say, a scifi action video game, it's suddenly a wacky sitcom series about a scientist who's in way over his head and the government bureaucrats who just don't realize that it's the aliens who're the bad guys. Twenty-six episodes of screaming hilarity ensue!

... or whatever. What've you got for entertaining genre shifts?

Bartending with the cat-phobic death goddess is up!

Just as a warning (or maybe as temptation):
  • Braindeath rum is made of some pretty nasty stuff, such as mind-controlling slugs, fever spiders, and something called blindweed. And it was brewed to get those immune to drunkenness DRUNK. Think it as Atlantean's cheap, nasty cousin.
  • Slayer's Respite will inspire permanent solutions to certain "problems". (Don't worry, it doesn't encourage murderous intentions, it just helps out with the planning!)
  • Undercooked karambwan has the same effects as undercooked fugu
  • And Fiery Balls of Death is Fiery Balls of Death.

Good evening, patrons of Milliways! Ladies and gents, we've got a lot of catching up to do. There was so much awesome last week that didn't get a shout out due to LJ wonkiness that, I think we can all agree, deserved one! So, what have you finished in the land of slows over the last two weeks? What have you read that you love-love-loved? I limit myself to three so everyone has a chance to shout, so let's SHOUT! (Arrr!)

  • Karkat and Adrian Shepherd from a few weeks back is still cracking me up.
  • David Stutler and Balthazar Blake march on through canon, while I make grabby hands for more.
  • William Evans takes Katya back to Arizona, and it's just lovely.

Now it's YOUR turn! Link us your favorites from the past two weeks, second shouts other people make, and don't forget those finished slowtimes!
