UPDATE: The baton is dead, Jim! THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT.

Hokay, cats and kittens! It’s been a blast, and it’s been hilarious, but the theme song plot is wrapping up tonight.

Salient points: At about 10 PM EST tonight, Claudia’s going to bring in some goo and neutralize the baton. That’s going to take the music away with it – and create one hell of a light show. Artifacts tend to give off sparks when they’re neutralized, and the more people/more intense the effect is, the more sparks there are. Considering this thing’s been bouncing around the bar whammying dozens of people for two weeks? It’s gonna be big; if your character’s in the bar proper at the time, it’s unlikely they’ll miss it.

(Also, if you happen to be near Claudia/the goo when she neutralizes it, there’s a chance you’ll be knocked over by a small shock wave. Won’t be big enough to disrupt the bar proper, though.)

Up to that point, the music in the bar is likely going to be VERY LOUD INDEED, also because this thing’s been affecting people for two weeks. People who’ve been affected all or most of the time are going to have it pretty bad today.

Once the baton’s neutralized, the music will be gone, and with it the crazy-making side effects. If anyone wants to keep playing with the theme music in slowtime, that’s more than fine, but as of 10 PM EST tonight, you can’t catch the bug anymore.
