SECURITY HIRING INFORMATION POST

In Handwavy Time (as in we've been trying to match schedules for ages and ages) Suzi Darley has been hired on as Councilor for Security. In play that's mostly going to mean she's a very small, not very fighty member of Security to whom you may come in times of need. Mostly, however, is not always. The bit which you all care about is the next bit:

SECURITY WILL BE INTERVIEWING ALL OF THE NEXT TWO WEEKS

•I'll be putting up an IC sign-up post tonight. If you want an interview, SIGN UP. No people tagging interview posts will be considered if they do not sign up for an interview.
•If you are CURRENTLY a Security member comment HERE with your OOC schedule so we can determine if you should be full/part time, or just off the force
•Do not ping ANY CURRENT MEMBER OF SECURITY asking them to "get you on" the force. I will be conducting the interviews and sending my recommendations on up. I will be the ONLY PERSON conducting interviews. Harassing other players will not endear you in the eyes of the hiring board.
•Do not interview if you have a very sporadic schedule. We need an active force again, and that means that we need people who can be around on a regular basis.
•ALL members of Security need to be easily reachable. Unblocked AIM or e-mail that is checked often is necessary or the point of being on Security is negated.
•Remember that Security is a position that often has to be a prop for other plots; you may be asked in to play bit roles only. In these cases you may have to be willing to be flexible on what your character "would" do.

EXCELLENT.

My schedule is fairly wide open, with the exception of sporadic doctor appointments, etc. That said, I am on Eastern time, and I'm not much use after midnight.

As of last night, Alanna is an active deputy again, starting out at about three shifts a week. Obviously I am around more than that. :D

I'd actually like to sign J.C. up for security, because that was kind of his job before he came to the bar. It would give him something to do.

But would it be possible for him to actually do an interview later, in bar time? Right now he's still recovering from the injuries he received before he came in. Also, I'm not sure how well he'd be considered since he's very new here.

Heck, I'll write him up anyway. He'd certainly sign on just on the off-chance.

I am around pretty much most of the day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Also pretty much every day from around 12PM-3PM, and from 12.30AM-4AM or so. My AIM is always on, and my e-mail is listed, if someone needs to ping me and I'll get back when I get home.

I work between nine and five, Australian Eastern Standard (GMT + 10.) Which means weeknights I'm almost always online between about 4AM--9AM EST, sometimes earlier. I'm not always on AIM, but I check my email about every two minutes; I'm always reachable.

I don't work full-time, so I'm often online more often than that -- I usually work three or four days a week, and rarely for a full day. But I don't have a fixed schedule, so all I can say is 'between nine and five monday to friday I may be at work'.

Weekends ... vary, honestly.

Handwavily, this has always put Stephanie (i_spoiled_it) on the graveyard shift, which dovetails neatly with the hours a Bat-family pup would likely keep anyway.

Also, Steph and Alanna have PLANS for the new recruits. Should there be any. *whistles*

I'm usually on from 8-5 GMT and then evenings most of the time, which means Mel (slayer_fray and Cera tinyceratops are your GMT day go-to girls.

Also, this took me by surprise, OOCly. Although Mel's been saying for months she'd like a recruitment drive, for months she's been the only deputy chief not on sick/maternity leave. I'm assuming it wouldn't have been initiated behind her back, but right now I have no idea what she knows or doesn't, ICly. Can you or one of the 'two other people' get in contact with me, please?

My OCC schedule. I'm here pretty much available all day except 6-9 pm gmt at night-times on Thursday and Friday, and some of the weekend. I'm not on AIM that much recently, but my gmail window is ALWAYS open in the background, so if anyone needs me I'll be there. I'm usually up until about three am GMT

I do not play Don often enough, but! With hell quarter over, that may be changing. He is part-time security at the moment, and that works best for me by far. I'm around generally in the evenings and on Pacific time, so Don's probably a good bet for late-night security.

Are the interviewing people doing to need to hand over ooc schedules now, too? Or just sometime in the future; during the whole interview period? Since I do very much get that it's both an IC and OOC job.

Jack's currently part-time/backup security, but I'm usually available from about 8 or 9pm EST until about 1 or 2am almost every night (except for Wednesdays and every other Friday). During that time I'm on AIM and fairly often in crackchat (though I might get distracted from it for long periods of time) and always pingable. I don't bite! My pup, however, might.

However, I work part-time and so my schedule might mean that I have to have an early night on other nights of the week. I'm more than willing to have Jack help out, but it's helpful if you can ask me as early as possible. Similarly I can do weekend afternoons, but those are more on an advance-notice basis.
