I shied away from playing real children at first - aging up Eska would be the big one here, but your young Hektor was real, at least to me, and I like to think 11-year old Will was close as well.

She's just--pretty okay with her powers. I've actually taken to using the Bar as an explanation for that--well, Bar and the people she's met there.
Fortunately my canonmates go along with me, or my brain would asplode.

. . . who still doesn't act like a realistic child in canon, necessarily - she's a child with a lot of issues, at least - but she's very explicitly not adorable. Small and adorable would be no fun for me.
