Daily Entertainment.

The first of many 08 posts for me, I'm sure.

Question: What do you think is the hardest archetype to play in the bar, from the following list: deity, human over age 55, teenager, children under 12, or mortal non-human?

(Or a write-in choice of something I missed.)

Yeah, which is part of the reason I don't think I've ever attempted a child character other than Hektor. I run into that disconnect between 'but this is how a kid would act!' and 'but this is how the canon says they'd act!', and it makes the brain hurt.

I think Cera, incidentally, is the most realistic child out of the LBT characters. I also think Littlefoot is the least, which is very possibly why we don't have one.

I shied away from playing real children at first - aging up Eska would be the big one here, but your young Hektor was real, at least to me, and I like to think 11-year old Will was close as well.

I miss 11 year old Will.

That's an interesting challenge for me with Jordan Black, actually. I mean--in canon she really does act like a kid in most respects.

She's just--pretty okay with her powers. I've actually taken to using the Bar as an explanation for that--well, Bar and the people she's met there.

Fortunately my canonmates go along with me, or my brain would asplode.

That's actually one of the main reasons I started playing Mary.

. . . who still doesn't act like a realistic child in canon, necessarily - she's a child with a lot of issues, at least - but she's very explicitly not adorable. Small and adorable would be no fun for me.

I think she is small and adorable.

I am possibly bias.
