What would your main pups do if they went to a concert of your favorite band? ETA: Or what would your main pups think of your favorite band's music?
Mal, at an Aerosmith concert: "Microphones are not scarf-holders." *scolds*
(Inspired by the Head Automatica video for 'Nowhere Fast', where people kill each other with pie. Ned was unhappy. D:)
Also? From here: Tomorrow's DE post will be what your character thinks of another character they have interacted with closely, but is...unrelated?...I'm not explaining this well. Essentially, I'm going to blather on about Mal's changes in perception of Elizabeth Turner. You're welcome to join me in my weirdness. See you tomorrow on that topic.

(I haven't forgotten our slowtime! Just learning to get into the new employment groove. And watching lots of Dark Angel, except for the bits where Jensen Ackles isn't really onscreen.)

I went to see the Spice Girls last week -- I can imagine Byers there, staring in ABSOLUTE HORROR at everything.
There was an abundance of tiny skirts and crossdressers. He would probably be covering his eyes. XD
I think Frasier would be just as mortified.

At which point Knox and Dean O'Dell will be really confused and weirded out by all the filkers, Gibbs will find his way to the bawdy circle and the Tully, and Kirk will run like hell before anyone sings Banned from Argo.

Melou would think it was NOISE, dammit. Sikozu I think would focus more on picking out wrong notes etc. Clark, actually, would probably like it after a song or two.

OTHERWISE, well, I think Stephanie and Ana and Darcy would all rather like Voltaire.

I figure that Momiji would appreciate him. And probably be one of those concert-goers who would be squirming around in his seat and half-singing along and being borderline annoying.
Horatio and Ganymede would be baffled and probably neutral. And just sort of sit there.
Dahlia would probably just dislike him and walk out to find a beer.

Teyla would probably enjoy the music on a cultural level as being representative of traditional Earth music.
Lorne would appreciate the fiddling on a technical level and probably get a little nostalgic for Carson. *sniff*

That's a bizarre but fun DE question.
What about for those of us that can't pin down a favorite band, due to having four thousand pieces of music in our personal collection? :-)
I'll give it a shot.
Hawkgirl would probably enjoy all the Bollywood music I love, as well as all the Arabdustrial I listen to (Muslimgauze, etc.). I have a feeling she'd love everything from the Young Gods to Scroobius Pip to Blood Red Shoes, Fela Kuti, most music from West Africa, Lebanese pop, and anything that smacks of the Middle East. Add in Death In Vegas, Gogol Bordello, and remember that she has over five thousand years of listening to music. Kendra probably digs the Pogues, too. I bet Kendra would have danced her butt off at a Fela Kuti and Egypt 80 show, if he hadn't sadly passed away.
She-Hulk loves eighties hair metal, probably likes My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, and would love their sextastic live show.
Edit: OMG, I totally forgot that recently Boomkat Music rediscovered the incredible Egytpian early sixties jazz band led by Salab Ragah. She'd LOVE that.

...I think you have to educate me on Salab Ragah.

Kaylee would love the concert itself like breathing. ("Heavy Metal Drummer", especially the lost verse that they only do in concert, is, like, Kaylee's theme song.) I do not think she'd be much of a fan of the stuff from Yankee Hotel Foxtrot or A Ghost Is Born, though A.M. and Being There she would like a lot, and Sky Blue Sky she would also be fond of. Summerteeth would be her favorite, though, hands down, with an honorable mention for the Mermaid Avenue albums.
Dale Cooper would reserve his fondness for certain tracks on Sky Blue Sky. And Yankee Hotel Foxtrot would sneak up on him. He wouldn't hate the concerts, just... he wouldn't get them.
Bill Adama is a Mermaid Avenue man, nothing else. No concerts for him, either.
Bobby Singer would be all about Being There and A.M. -- but on certain days, he'd be more of an Uncle Tupelo man, even if he wouldn't admit it. And... he'd probably see himself as too old to go to a show, but if he did, he'd be the guy sitting by the bar and grinning, and putting the obnoxious drunks in their place.
Angela Petrelli would make it through one listen of A Ghost Is Born and then set it on fire. -- scratch that. She wouldn't make it through "Hell Is Chrome".
In contrast, the favorite song of Claude Raines is "Theologians", and he'd totally sneak into a concert and steal beer and enjoy himself thoroughly.

UM.
I WILL NEED A KAYLEE-SALLIE LIKE BREATHING. EMAIL PENDING.

Lissar - Actually has heard some of them, and rather liked it. She likes their more accessible stuff, but the sounds of noise aren't for everyone. At a concert...well, assuming that she was watching it from her favorite perch on Ironhide's shoulder, she'd enjoy herself.
Spoon - Would hate it like burning. Too LOUD too RANDOM too MUCH. He'd be triggered by the noise, some of the instruments, the press of the crowd, all of that.
Suzi - Wouldn't care for the music much, but the nagers would have her in the stratosphere. I've never felt so much joy at a concert as I did at Blixa Bargeld's solo show.

(How would you write that band's name phonetically? *eyes it*)

OTHERWISE:
Gordon; I really don't know what he'd listen to yet. For now, I'm just setting him on the 'Run, Fat Boy, Run' soundtrack, and the 'Hot Fuzz' soundtrack.
Marc; According to canon, his favourite musical is 'High School Musical', but I despise it. However, I think he'd enjoy some of the dance/techno music I have.
David; I have no idea. Classical, maybe.
Lucian; See directly above.
Niki; I think she might like some of the more modern stuff I have, in addition to my musicals. For her, I also have classical and opera, and I think she'd like The Divine Comedy, and some of Andrew Bird's songs. For her, what really matters the most is having a melody, so no metal, even if I did listen to metal.
Whit; Whatever's hip at the time. He might like Feist?
Niles; Opera and classical, thank you very much.
Hades; His playlist is probably the most eclectic. It's a little bit of everything I've got, and I think he'd be fine with all of it.

They would have no choice.
...
And then the next morning when I find myself duct-taped to the ceiling, I'll know why.

Green!Jack, of course, would love any concert. Music and life affirmation and tribal ritual--that's his scene, exactly.

Obi-Wan, I hear you ask? (I know I would.) Well, according to millicanon, there was that album of Rodian synth-pop he had that

Snowcrash reference for the win. Hiro needs to be in bar more, and he needs to meet Jen!

Honestly, Miniver's musical tastes are pretty similar to mine, overall. Except he also has this weird OMG LOVE thing for the Supremes and does a scary-good impression of Diana Ross. o.0
My other pups, however, would not necessarily be as fond. I think Sheogorath might actually like Guns n' Roses... as might Fox, for whatever reason. But I think it'd just seriously confuse the hell out of the Gethenians and Much.
I'm not sure ANY of my puppets would approve of the Decemberists, though. XD
Nathan might, MIGHT be okay with Freedom Call. Otherwise he thinks my taste in music is totally lame and not metal.
Oh, and Miniver would likewise be BAFFLED by his PB's music. Seriously. Adam Green has only done two or three songs I can see Miniver singing EVER, and only one of those seems to actually fit him at all -- "Novotel" which actually sounds like it COULD have been written by Miniver.
And the rest... most of my pups would be pretty "meh" about Velvet Revolver, Kamelot, Jackson Browne, Indigo Girls, Keane, Don McLean... really only Minver is that ecclectic. And Fox can APPRECIATE a lot of music but since he can't make it himself, in the end it's just something pretty and inexplicable humans do.
...though apparently the Gethenians both really like Moby. Go figure.
EDIT: Which reminds me... the Gethenians are really hard to find music for, but October Project is the closest I've ever found to fit them, and a lot of their songs really fit very well with canon. Actually, This is how I imagine Therem's voice sounds. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=TAYhVJ0z6XI) It's hard to find a truly androgynous-sounding voice, but that's it.

Also, has anyone seen my brain? It melted out my ears last night and I haven't seen it since. *woefuls*

Siouxsie and the Banshees: Ears covered and screaming "What is she so angry about?"
Madness: Out in the crowd skanking badly but with a big grin.
Opal: Smiling and saying "This is nice but why are sad?"

Tom would just be baffled, but he'd admit that some of the piano was rather pretty. He just wouldn't get it, though, and he'd be embarrassed by the writhing on the piano bench.
Ingress would think she was really beautiful, and she'd laugh at the costumes/wigs. She'd like "Cornflake Girl" a lot.
Missouri wouldn't mind a little of her music, but she'd prefer Aretha Franklin.

Non-canon or non-family?
Also...I don't have a favourite piece of music. It depends on my mood. Although Aj loves guitar stuff, and I mostly can't stand it.
