Uh.

I ate at the restaurant of the guy who won the first season of top chef, and then I bummed around new york, and then i went to a play with friends, and then i hung out with our actor guy who we went to see in the play, who called other actor guys who came and hung out with us until 1.30am, and then we wandered the city looking for desert and i went to sleep at 3. and then i got up at 7.30 and took a train to asbury park where i went to pride and hung out with friends and saw lots of adorable babies and had waves splash over my feet and got a horrible sunburn.

it was great.

2. Meet with boss to go over many small but pressing matters prior to Thursday and Friday off.
3. Get ready for Contata in less than three weeks.
4. Get ready for the Jewish holiday of Shavuot next week.
5. Write speech for synagogue dinner in two weeks.
6. Squeeze in RP to keep self same.
7. See if there is time for lunch with Bing next weekend.
8. Buy comics on Wednesday and hope Joss didn't make things even worse.

Weekend was generally good. Watched Doctor Who and loved it. Finally saw Pan's Labyrinth and thought it was quite overrated. Attended a very frustrating online concom meeting.

Ray's to-do list would be ridiculously long and specific and probably include more things to do than there are actual hours in the day, so I"m going to go straight to the other one. My Saturday had thunderstorms in it. I installed new blinds, did some basic clean-up (not nearly enough), did four loads of laundry, changed the sheets, got out for a bike ride when the storms died down, bought new clothes, cat food, screws, drywall mounting hardware, sunglasses, iced tea mix (two flavors), and a toilet seat. Got home and installed the toilet seat and cleaned out one of the litterboxes. Made pasta with salmon and cream sauce. Opened apps.

That was Saturday. Sunday was mostly visiting my parents and my nephew and niece and sister.

I watched awesomely bad movies and read a giant book on empire this weekend. Well. Most of it. It's almost three weeks overdue with my professor but I AM SO CLOSE TO DONE I CAN ALMOST SMELL IT.

To do list, oh God edition:
-Work til 5:30 all this week
-Finish terrible theoretical book
-Write detailed notes on terrible theoretical book
-Sign up for the GRE's
-Write reaction posts on a couple of comics and the novelization I just read
-Don't write fic til I've done all of the above

I am going to stop there, because if I start keeping track of a long-term personal to do list, I get so stressed my head explodes. None of my characters really have that interesting of a schedule; Plourr is the only one who would, and quite honestly, I can't figure out what she does all day. Uh, audiences! Meetings! Conferences! Rial!

My weekend was too short, but that's usually the case. I got some editing done and resolved various computer crises, but not much else.

• Finish second draft of the novella and try to reach 15,000 words

My dad took all of last week off (I still don't know why, when he mainly needed the bits when I was graduating) and had yardwork on the brain. Mom likened weeding to red-hot pokers in her eyes, I pointed out the pokers would be over sooner, and she said 'all right, Vogon poetry.'
(Dad prefers speed to thoroughness. Mom and I both think that as long as we're out there, we should be thorough - esp. when Dad's been battling the sweetpea incursion for YEARS.)

Now I'm wondering where's a good place I can get my ears pierced and contemplating job stuff and getting my butt in shape.

The Pirate King is generally plotting how to make Mabel, Frederic's and the Major General's lives hell.

Will's is figure out how to make Kate herself again, find Brand, not kill Brand yet until he fixes Kate and start training again since he's tired of not being able to do stuff.
