Daily Entertainment.

ZOMG Random.

Am I the only one really jazzed to see WALL-E? Is my inner AI house showing? >_>;;

I've been jazzed ever since I saw the first trailer. It looks really gosh-darn cute.

So I watched The Incredible Hulk last night.

Compared to the US military, who are all tightly disciplined, upright good standing men who are always clean shaven give or take a Jim Gordon 'tache, Royal Marines never stand to attention and aren't expected to shave at all.

I never knew this.

The concept of Wall-E didn't really grab me.

I'm sleepy today.

Still haven't done the dishes! Um. And also trying to determine if I'm hungry yet. Though if I'm good and make it out of here in the next fifteen minutes, I can hit Jamba Juice before getting on the train. Hmm...

I am, for the most part, a Pixar fanatic. They do the best digital animation of anyone, they put story ahead of gimmick, they rarely hire Big Names (as DreamWorks always does) and stick with the right actor for the job, and John Lasseter is a visionary who love all kinds of animation. I swear by Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, and The Incredibles.

And yet, WALL-E doesn't grab me yet. I know I will see it at some point (unlike Cars, the one Pixar film that I find zero interest in). The animation looks amazing as usual. And unlike Ratatouille, this one looks like it will be a great family film. But until I get a sense that there is a strong story here and not just a lot of Chaplinesque humor followed by a space chase, I can't say for sure that I will go see it on the big screen.

All that said, Pixar on a bad day is still far better than any other American animation. So if you are jazzed for WALL-E, you will probably love it.

CARS blew cracked camshafts, man. I was so disappointed. I tend to love Pixar (in fact, I know people that work there, since they're located really close to my work), but every now and then they fall flat.

That being said, GO JOHN CARTER OF MARS! Hurry up, Pixar. I can't freakin' wait to see what they do with those films. Will Dejah Thoris be entirely nude? Will Tars Tarkas have to cut a bitch? Will the city of Helium be rendered with the grandeur that it deserves?

Above anonycommenter was me; I fail at remembering that my name doesn't show up when I am too chicken to sign in on someone else's work computer.

I want to see WALL-E so badly! It looks adorable! Basically, I want to see pretty much everything coming out this summer. I can't remember the last time I wanted to see this many movies coming out in this short of a time span; I don't think I ever have. I don't know whether this is a comment on my personal taste or on the quality of movies coming out this summer, but damn. My list of films I want to see usually has one or two names on it; right now, it has something closer to 15.

Also, GO CELTICS.

Nope. I've been looking forward to it since I first pulled the preview down on iTunes. That and Mongol, because while I've got two robots in my head I've also got a warm spot in my heart for terrifyingly capable conquering warlords.

Oh GOD not more Pixar. >.<

I've given up on liking the idea for any movies anymore, though. I can't name one that's come out since LotR that I liked at all.

Then again, I can't name that many from BEFORE that I like either.

I'm totally jazzed to see it because I have an android fetish because it looks adorable!

But you know what I'm more jazzed for? That Pixar is making a TRILOGY of Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter of Mars books! (Hopefully with at least a PG-13 rating, because those books are full of swashbuckling red, green, white, and black Martians slicing hell out of each other.) Tars Tarkas, Jeddak of Thark on the silver screen! Naked, even!

Pixar is about seven blocks from where I work. I pass by unassailable compound almost every day at lunch.
