The trouble with lake parties is always finding the right weekend, so everyone can play. =/

And I guess just saying FUCK WINTER and having Monkey declare an early summer is out, because probably some people (sick, twist people) still want to play snowy shenanigans.

If there is a broader lake party, though, you could make sure the ship is around, and perhaps ask a trusted pirate friend to keep an eye on things if Will is busy catching up with Elizabeth.
