Okay, actually I do. Quesada and the book NYX were trying to be super-edgy -- and kind of went way too far.

Claremont has said in interviews that he had no idea who X-23 was but was instructed to use her in Uncanny at the time, because her first mini was being released and the higher-ups wanted the cross-promotion. His lack of knowledge shows. Painfully. X does not even LOOK the same -- brown hair and brown eyes in Uncanny, green eyes and black hair in her mini. *sigh* Oh comics.

And League of Losers -- okay, that one I have no idea. *wry* None.

I'd agree that Quesada went way past edgy and into the Twilight Zone, and that Marvel could have at least sent Claremont a dossier or something.

I think I have an idea about the League of Losers. The author clearly thought that it being an AU gave him license to create new characters so long as they had the same name and appearance. ;-)
