Alternatively: I know I'm not the only one out there whose life has been a little crazy lately, and as a result, I've kind of just a wee bitty smidgen fallen behind on current affairs at the bar at the end of the universe. So! As a follow-up to yesterday's roll-call, let's all sit down and have a cuppa and a nice chat. Introduce your newer characters, tell us what old friends have been up to recently (or not-so-recently), babble about anything interesting you've got in the pipeline (unless of course it is super-secret, in which case you should of course make cryptic hints to the best of your ability) and so forth.

I'm also calling an amnesty on Silly Questions - for all those times you missed something in a thread somewhere, and now these characters are together somehow? but that pup is living in a different universe now? except you're not sure what point this other character is at in canon? WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? It happens to us all - me more than most - and nobody wants to look like a goober for asking something so obvious. Except today. Today, this is a goober-free zone. Ask, and (hopefully) ye shall have answers.

(Personally, I realised the other night that I have been shamefully confused for ages about certain members of the Sparklepire contingent in Milliways. Is it Edward-Carlisle, or Edward/Carlisle? My inability to follow an arc, let me show you it.)

My pups haven't been up to that much lately. Knox has been in Gotham a lot more than in the Bar, hanging out with Rapunzel and chasing Batman stories and trying to make heads or tails of rumors that the new president has a sekrit superhero action plan. Sooner or later, he will be in the Bar to talk about this. Or will get an OOM.

Gibbs is still on the Empress with Capt Mrs Turner, waiting for the baby to arrive. And for his life to be turned over, again. He comes to the Bar to not think about what might happen. Other things might be brewing.

Cy is currently on an adventure with Sativa, and is pondering the possibility of upgrades to his parts so that he looks a bit less clunky. Anyone have any thoughts about moving him to a look more like the comics version of the pup?

Charlie is in the midst of that really weird, really sweet friendship with Sallie Reynolds. I have no idea where it will go, but it's fun. Otherwise, he's kinda bored. He's also looking forward to Cubefall, but isn't sure that is a good idea.

And Kirk, when not on his usual missions, is still seeing 99 and still trying to figure out the difficulties of dating a spy.

Crowley, uh. Well, if you want to get technical, nothing major is happening with him right now, being as the recent OOMs of Fighty Angsty Badness with Aziraphael actually took place at Christmas time. But now that we've skipped forward, um, four months, he's happy as a clam, maintaining the usual balance of wiles vs. thwarting with Aziraphael and working on building and cultivating a small garden sanctuary on the rooftop of a certain dingy bookshop in Soho.

Future!Crowley is... in limbo. *shame* I brought him back from a nasty discorporation, uh, quite a while ago, but haven't been able to assemble the brain to actually move him forward in grand plotty style to return to Bentley Aeronautics and start working to expose and/or otherwise take down those responsible.

I'm sensing a pattern here. ;_;

Also, there is nothing interesting going on with my pups, like, ever. Which makes me sad to sit and ponder. However, I was struck with a new headvoice while at work, and might currently be reviewing canon and preparing a very late application to be sent in at some point today? Um. Muahaha?

I will help with the sparklepire questions! First off, Carlisle died at age 23, and is something like 375 years old by the start of Twilight. Edward is seventeen and has been since 1917 or 1918, I always blank on dates.

As far as the punctuation question, Iiiii see it as a slash. Really a lot. Because SMeyer has no clue what she actually put effort into as far as relationship building. But that's neither here nor there. :D!

As far as my characters go!

1. Mal. Really, his main things lately is just coping with the lack of two people on his ship, and what that means for him is something that I have not been showcasing properly. It's all in my head, but just with time and real life stuff it hasn't been happening. I hope to rectify this very very soon! >) That being said, if anyone needs a space captain to get his hands dirty for whatever reason, you just let me know.

2. Sallie. Barman! Weirdness. xD She's got a slowtimed date with John Munch going down, as well as I-don't-even-know with Charlie. Srsly. Where did the menfolk come from?

3. Carlisle Cullen. Post-Twilight, everyone is slated for a drama-free summer until the events of New Moon roll out. I have no clue how much of said summer is going to actually play, or NM stuff, but we'll see how much we'd like to snap Carlisle in half when we get there.

4. SARAH! Ohh, my poor neglected house. She's stuck canonwise somewhere near the end of S1, and I have yet to do HOUSE Rules. Siiiiigh. I'll figure it out.

Raven. He is sort of hanging out at the end of the universe, bopping around with his favorite people and pestering others -- when I have the energy for him. It's hard to EP him sometimes, because I think he is the most stable he has ever been. I am not sure where he is going next. Hmm.

X-23. Pre-Necrosha. I am not sure if Necrosha will happen in her AU. Still on Security both in the bar and in the brothel/nightclub. She hasn't been on many X-men missions lately and there are none in the docket (that she knows of). She recently got two cats from Liz and Hellboy, which has made her happy. She's also currently a third base coach/child wrangler for her seven year old neighbor's Little League Team. And she's learning roof repair/plumbing/wiring -- the kinds of skills someone living in an older building might find useful.

Dean Winchester. Somewhere in early S3! He hates me for that. I'm trying to play him more, so talking to new people and -- I would say making friends but he's kind of a jerk a lot -- stuff is good!

Michael the Archangel. She's post-canon, so basically hanging out and talking to people and keeping an eye on certain demons *cough* is kind of what she's all about atm. Finding more people for her to be acquainted with is kind of priority one.

Nynaeve. So I think I just need to figure out what she's doing in the post-apocalypse part of her world, and then bring her in with my brain firmly fixed on that knowledge.

Galadan. Still teaching Mary. Concocting multiple plans on Fionavar. I just need to ficlet and/or thread the relevant things so that I can finish that bit of outstanding plot. HI KEVIN.

Wonder Woman. She's still in her gap year during 52, canonwise. I am looking to have her get a wider circle of acquaintances, so hopefully I will start having the energy for more regular EPs soon! Plotwise I think I have plans for her to meet several other DC characters. YAY.

Jordan Black. Ahaha. Ha. Ha. I need to get her to S2 or beyond. ONE DAY.

Ben is off doing the hero thing in his world. I have plans for an EP soon but I have a short week at work so I am waiting. He is slightly off center of current F4 canon and at some point I need to figure out the mess that is Fall of the Hulks and Doom War since he is involved with both crossovers.

Val is...somewhere? In her room running experiments is my best guess.

I am actually working on where Usagi is in his canon. It is definitely going to be after meeting the turtles when he returns to Milliways.

Thalia is still Bound and making acquaintances. I would say freinds but well she's too mistrusting at this point. At some point (who knows when) she will return to her world and then with a flurry of OOMs covering the time of The Titan's Curse she will catch up to her canon mates time wise at which point she will return to Milliways unBound.

I think I am going to move Barbie forward past The Nutcracker, I'm just not sure how far forward. I think at least past her breaking up with Ken. And don't worry she gets back to together with him. And yes this is official Mattel canon, Babrie and Ken split sometime in 2002 I think it was. Why are you looking at me like that, it was in her wiki!

Out to lunch are Grover, Artemus Gordon and Jenks. Now if I can hold out one more day without sending in an App I'll be safe for another month!

Agent 99: She's gone through her movie canon at this point, so now it's just a matter of me either getting her involved in Milliways plotting or establishing some kind of future canon. (There's rumors of a sequel to the film in the works? IDEK.) As far as Millicanon goes, she's tentatively moving forward with James Kirk after they hit the slight snag of her real identity as an agent.

Chuck Charles: Is still post-"Bitches", I think? We're sluggishly moving through canon, but I know everyone else is still on board. She hasn't been fairly active in the Bar lately, but for the most part, she can be found delivering pie to wayward souls or being sweet with Ned.

Dani Reese: Fairly new at this point, and I'm trying to decide what point I want her coming in from her canon; right now, I'm considering the beginning of season two but that may change once conversations are had with Crews-mun. She's a little uncomfortable being in the Bar at times (as a former alcoholic), but she's better than she used to be.

Ellen Harvelle: Reserved mostly for OOM-land at the moment so that I can get her up to her point in canon re: her and Jo; again, if anyone wants her in the Bar for Millicanon plotting, feel free to ping.

Joan Holloway: Dividing her time between her job in Manhattan (she is effectively AU in regards to the show) and playing house with Sheriff Harry S. Truman in Twin Peaks.

Kate Beckett: In the midst of the epic two-parter episode; her apartment was recently blown up by a serial killer-slash-stalker and so she's probably going to end up living in both her Milliways room and Castle's place until she can find a more permanent living situation in her world. Oh, and re: Castle: things are still terribly complicated and more confusing than ever, and sleeping with him hasn't exactly fixed that.

Lisa Cuddy: Also mostly resigned to OOM-land, but she's definitely available in whatever capacity people need her in. Currently seeing Remy Hadley, adoptive mother to an adorable girl named Rachel, and the bane of Greg House's existence (as always).

Pam Halpert: Wife of Jim and mother to Cecelia Marie. She's around, but I'll just use the excuse that motherhood has kept her busy. As of now, she's still on maternity leave from work but is definitely starting to go a little stir-crazy, so she may appear in the Bar soon.

Saffron: As discussed above, a semi-recentish deal with Seimei left her with newly imbued powers and no idea how she's going to use them just yet. Aside from that, she's just enjoying the results from a successfully pulled train job with Ben Wade in his world and seducing whenever she can. Urquhart's been the most recent beneficiary of that second part.

Sherlock Holmes: Also new, relatively speaking. Pre-movie as of right now, since he's living comfortably with Watson. He's also been bested by Irene Adler at least once at this point (however, that's done nothing to stop him from becoming completely irrational over her).

Scorpius Malfoy: Still in his sixth year at Hogwarts. I'm not exactly sure when, but... That is when he is? Still has no idea what to do after Hogwarts. Will be looking into laptops. But mostly he's just been making rounds around Milliways and I mean this quite literally because I'm pretty much just tagging everyone and anyone when I have the urge to. I was going to join in the awesome that was going down in the bar last night, massive tagging spree FTW, but I failed and was eventually lulled to sleep by a House Hunters International marathon.

Jasper Whitlock: Same with the rest of the Cullens (and Bella), he's set after the events of Twilight and there is supposed to be summer fun. He's looking forward to prom, and by looking forward to I mean grudgingly accepting of the fact that his wife wants to go, and the house in France. He's not been around Milliways much because he's been a quiet headvoice.

Alanna, having recently told the triplets about their, ah, true family history, is spending most of her free time with them out of concern and a sick sort of certainty that Grace will find her way back to Milliways alone if left to her own devices. She rides circuits with the Queen's Riders on occasion, and soon Jon will be sending her east to deal with a dispute between two neighboring nobles. After that, I'll start looking at doing a Wolf-Speaker plot. She hasn't been in the bar much since she and Raph swapped bodies. That was... disturbing. To say the least. *facepalm*

Elizabeth is not an elephant, despite how long it has seemingly been since she got pregnant. My kind canon mates are allowing me to indulge in some serious milli-time. My brain thanks them. That said, she'll be having Will Jr. soon, which should make things interesting! In the meantime I've been avidly following reports on PotC 4. :D

Thayet is busy with the Riders. I've been itching to play her lately, so I imagine she'll be in soon.

Turtle is... ahahahaha. The most neglected pup EVER. She has started high school and continued dabbling in the stock market. Every Tuesday she plays chess with the Chairman of Westing Paper Products. She is definitely over her crush on Doug Hoo, but Theo remains unsafe from the Braided Tortoise. There are vague plans for Turtle and the Loompas to cross paths again. Oh yes.

Jim is happily up in his mountains and avoiding all thoughts of Jessica. Yup. That won't last, of course, now that I've gotten him to where I can throw him back in the bar.

Grace H. is still in S1, probably around episode 1-5. She's gotten past thinking Earl is most likely the sign of an aneurysm and is really just pissed off at the idea of an angel hanging around. It can be damn annoying.

Dr. Evil continues to pursue his aspirations of world domination and the production of an evil Snuggie.

Ruby: I have been having immense fun with her lately. Odsofihsdof her interactions with Sam make me glee. I'll have to bring her back into the bar at some point soon. But yes. Things are progressing very nicely canon-wise, and my plans for her basically include more canon! And more chats with Verity and Lilith and ... I dunno, I kind of want her to have a chat with Castiel at some point, mun-willing. And there will be Michael, of course. Hee.

Most of mine are just ... chilling.

Plourr's running a planet and running around after a toddler. She's post-canon, so I get to do whatever I want! Hawkeye and Mulcahy are in Korea, sometime in the 1950s, business as usual. Sam is still set in the first season of iCarly because I'm slow; she is going to school, not doing her homework, and filming the iCarly webshow, as usual.

Jessica Hamby is mid-first-OOM/mid-being-turned-into-vampire. She'll get there eventually! Maybe. Watson's living with Holmes at 221B Baker Street and running around London with him on cases. Liz is living in Jersey/going on Bureau missions, which I am not OOMing because I am lazy, but she is getting more and more confident in herself and in her powers, and also in her capacity to lead people. Maya is in awkward canon limbo right after the Konstantinov mutinies and Gates into nothingness.

Rhodey is ... I have no idea what Rhodey's doing. I'm A) a little dependent on what Tony is doing, and our Tony has been out of action for a while, and B) kind of sitting on Rhodey to wait and see what the hell is up in Iron Man 2. And to see if I want to change his PB. I HAVE MY TICKETS; TWO DAYS, MOTHERFUCKER!!!

Somehow, Riley has the most going on. He's dating Ava and is working on his book about the templar treasure and other myths that are true. He just got a literary agent!

Leonardo is right now inside Duck's body from Princess Tutu, and in her world, while Duck is inside Leo's human body here in Milliways. It's terribly fun! It's just been going slow because I AM A SLOW MONSTER. Should I cackle? I'll cackle. MWAHAHAHA.

My newest is Susan Ivanova from Babylon 5, and she is AWESOME FUN. I haven't really gotten a chance to do much with her. Again, mostly because of my schedule (which will hopefully settle a bit more by the end of the month? CROSS FINGERS!), but it's also trying to figure out what I want to DO with her in Milliways. She's not going to drag people back to her world to help with the coming Shadow War nor get them involved in the Civil War with Earth. I personally don't want to get her involved in any sort of romantic relationship, but I say that and watch something appear out of no where. I have hopes and dreams for her! I really want to sometime do The One!Susan when she is much older and Ranger One (ruling the universe with Delenn, teehee! :D!!). And um, maybe she meets Marcus again for the first time and um.

The Unicorns are... um. They are so insane. I've pretty much figured out what they are at this point! I've decided that they really are some sort of demons or devils torturing Charlie in Purgatory (he suggests that in one of the vids). I think. They sure as hell aren't unicorns, that's for sure!

Pam is. AHAHA, um! She's my no plot character, really. She's just funny and lols. I have to have a witty pansexual blonde with humanity issues! Have to! I'm excited to see what they do for season 3 of True Blood. I love her webisode. Oh, Pam. Always a hobag, always insubordinate.

Meg Ford just finished her second year at McGill and is trying to spend a month without pre-planning every moment. She's also getting over laryngitis, and probably about to deal with her friends' having run into her five-year old self.

Anna is learning about boys. Her original conclusion ("weird") will probably shortly be reinforced. She'll continue to bounce around and be cheerful.

And Verity enjoying her what she doesn't know are her final days -- she's now on a collision course with getting shot by Sam Winchester. But until then, she'll be around, drinking appletinis and being evil. And talking to angels, much to the puzzlement and amusement of her mun.

Oh my goodness, I've had quite a lot going on with my main three, and this makes me all kinds of happy.

There was some growing up friction with Ingress and the parental types over rules and sneaking to Milliways, but that resolved nicely not too long ago. Ingress is about to turn 11. Yeah, I don't even know. She is still taking lessons in the HoA and her newest teacher is Havelock Vetinari. This summer will be a time of growing up, and next year, she'll begin school in Valdemar. *boggles*

Tom and Door are still busy in the Underside. I think I have a plot arc beginning for some long term developments there, and that makes me rather gleeful. He has definitely made the transition to being fully a part of the Underside, but his past and future continue to haunt him, as we saw with Hermione last night! Which is good - he can exile himself, but he still has plenty to answer for. At least he seems to be aging slowly as a part of being a denizen of London Below. It's canonical, and gives me an excuse to keep his username and icons a while longer. Snerk. Oh, he is also a foster-grandfather for Marjory's finger puppet hatchlings, and he and Havelock have become friends.

I am so happy to have things for Tom and Ingress.

Bela is busy, too. She is just about to season three, which means her time is running out and desperation levels are climbing. There is Plot. Soon! But she can't even take Ava shopping. Booooo!

Mojo exists for crack and plot, and my newest, Connor Temple from Primeval is adorable fun, so far.

Jamie is currently three hundred and sixteen or so, and jaunting around various worlds - most recently he ran into Elle on her world, and he'll be back in the bar soonish after one or two Mystery OOMs are complete. Also, pretty soon I may be putting up a back room post asking if anyone would like a random immortal teenaged world-hopper to drop in for hilariously random and awkward times!

And Duck is currently accidentally a ninja turtle, which is a good way to pass the time until we get to the end of the first season and subsequent drama.

What my characters have been up to is being neglected while I'm busy! Um.

Trowa's life at the circus is plugging along -- no new lot, no new crises. They're somewhere in the colonies now, but heck if I know where. TL and I only bother to establish that when we're bored or it's plot-relevant.

River is, similarly, ticking along on Serenity. It's emptier these days with Simon and Kaylee gone; she's mostly adjusted, and they keep in touch a lot via waves and presumably handwaved Milliways visits, but she still misses them. I'm not sure if they have any current jobs or what.

Hawkeye is in the middle of episode 4 -- that's the Shou Tucker ep, for whose who know canon -- and the first set of OOMs for that will go up soon. (My schedule means I am working through canon at, uh, a leisurely pace.) And then she'll be in again! Which I'm looking forward to a lot because I need to get her more used to coming and going so I can toss her into threads without needing to EP each and every time.

Lan is handwavily coming in with Nynaeve once in a while, but mostly they're embroiled in the work of rebuilding practically everything (most notably Malkier) after the Last Battle. We're planning to time-skip them through some of that; we just haven't gotten around to officially doing so. Um.

Regan is... uh, any comment here, Aspen? She and Gabriel are in the off-season of Parliament, which means they're still keeping very busy with charity work, networking, assessing their constituents' needs and situation, reminding Gabriel not to run himself into the ground seven times in any given day, etc.

Edel is a plot device! Honey is in a slightly timeless high school, eating cake and going to classes and beating up his relatives in daily martial arts practice. Piotr... it's been so long, I don't even know. *sheepish*

Though that's also because he's been worried about both Carl Benton and Kate BEckett, and he can't leave until he finds out that Beckett's serial killer has been caught and she's safe.

At the moment he's just trying not to go completely insane waiting for news when he can't do anything to help the situation.

Ray is dealing with the usual weirdness in his world. I think he's currently immersed in some issues relating to environmental remediation and the biotechnology of the Deep Ones in addition to land-based slime-intensive pursuits.

The Half-Life pups are working on our version of Half-Life 2 Episode 3, since Valve apparently has too many people working on OH NO MOAR ZOMBIES and nobody wanting to finish the goddamn Half-Life story. When the Citadel blew up and the Combine failed to destroy the White Forest rebel base at the end of Episode 2, the policy towards humans changed: we're not potential soldiers now, we're annoyances to be eliminated. So the Combine started rounding up civilians and shipping them off to processing facilities in the geographic centers of the various inhabited continents to be used as biomass for living atmosphere conversion units, with the goal of making Earth into a world the Combine race can live on without having to wear gas masks. Adrian Shephard and Chell Johnson discovered that fact a while ago, and now Gordon is part of an attack on the facility in North America.

BLU Medic is about where he always is, conducting nasty experiments and keeping busy day to day in the endless battles with RED.

Vergil the Huragok- helpful_squid- was Bound for a while. He can return to his world now, but not if Master Chief (who we got a few months back) is anywhere nearby. The door just opens onto interstellar space if he tries it then. Vergil is therefore going back and forth between the Bar and the UNSC vessel Spark In Darkness, slowly adapting to life where he is no longer a slave but is nonetheless in protective custody far from everything he's ever known- he did, after all, defect from an enemy empire.

Belar's been out of the Bar because I didn't want him to interrupt certain plots by just plain putting a stop to them. He's back in now on a semi-regular basis. He spent most of this winter keeping his people's herds in Mongolia alive in the face of the worst temperatures on record.

Bumblebee and Ironhide are still in the middle of the Rise of the Fallen plot because I am a lazy bum. Bumblebee has been dropped back into Bar once or twice in a state of massive frustration at not being able to reach Sam yet. I will probably get this wrapped up in the next month or so- the plot, I mean- but for now Bee continues to come to the Bar and I may have him bound to make it easier.

Mordin Solus, my newest pup, is a hyperintelligent space newt (seriously, his race is mostly humaniform, but they're amphibians- and he's a genius who sleeps an hour a night at most because sleep is time not spent DOING stuff or THINKING OF stuff). He's had an entry post or two and will soon be going through canon with the other Mass Effect people.

And Ellen Park, over in Fallout 3, has found her father. She's retrieved a lot of radioactive soda (really) from the ruins of an old factory (despite the giant glowing mutant radioactive canonical homicidal crabs) for use as handheld dirtybomb components (also canon). She was going to recruit people at Milliways to help her eradicate the supermutants that had taken over the Jefferson Memorial, since her father needs the Memorial to implement his water purification project, but the door wouldn't open and the mutants caught her by surprise, so now she's gonna be shellshocked in Milliways for a while as she recovers form having to kill a dozen or so giant greenskinned cannibal ex-humans (canon) and their centauroid three-tongued four-armed no-legged radioactive-venomous-spitting guard monsters (also canon) all by her lonesome.

Things will briefly get better when she goes back. briefly.

Angel... honestly, I should probably suck it up and retire Angel, he's been quiet so long. But but but but DO NOT WANT. It's a thing.

Carl is post-canon, and mostly chillin' in the bar when he wants to get away from wacky office hijinks. (Though with Mother on his super-weird road trip with Laini, there's a bit less wacky in the office right now.) In Slowtime Land, he's meeting Johnny Hooker, because I couldn't resist the '...wait a second.'

Larry is in between-canon limbo. I wrote the Point-A-to-Point-B OOM last year, but I have yet to post it, I think partly because I don't have Night at the Museum 2 for great review purposes.

Cosmo is also post-canon, after me not wanting to put him through hell for a long time. I think he's hiding out in the bar for a while, answering machine that is only an answering machine and all.

Cata is teaching, and less than pleased with her students' essay-writing capabilities. She also has a... thing of some kind going on with hands_of_blu. Whatever it is, it is oddly adorable, considering neither of them are very nice people. (And hey, she actually admitted she trusts him! Quite the compliment, coming from her.)

Moist is still enjoying the hell out of the effects of last year's Cubefall; I'm not sure yet if he'll be participating this year. He also just met Moist von Lipwig, though without a proper introduction (but I'm sure he'll put it together next time he sees the tab board). At... some nebulous point in time, he's gonna help Coreen get her stuff from her original world.

Conflict Diamond has mostly been avoiding Milliways since the Conversations With Dead People thing around Halloween. I think she needed that OOM, but it also wigged her out a lot more than I thought it would. (oops?)

Sam is mostly chillin' and going 'O RLY' at the Cata/Medic thingy. (I ALSO THINK HE SHOULD MEET DR. HORRIBLE SOMETIME. He's met Penny, so he knows there's someone around who kinda looks like him, but... well. XD)

And the new girl is demanding a comment of her own, so.
