Today is what is supposed to be my office's Christmas party, but it has mutated into a retirement party for the man who is almost universally unliked in the office.

It's going to be a weird day. How are things where you are?

This morning I have already unclogged the toilet that SOMEONE (Becca) clogged last night. Today I give the final presentations for 50% (actually 55%, but who'd counting) of my semester's courses, and in preparation for that I need to spend the day "drawing" illustrations for a children's book.

"I didn't know you could draw," I hear you say.

That's because I can't.
