Today is what is supposed to be my office's Christmas party, but it has mutated into a retirement party for the man who is almost universally unliked in the office.

It's going to be a weird day. How are things where you are?

Quality, in the main! Got my Uni essay in under the deadline on Tuesday, and while it's not great, it is done. Proceeded to kick arse in a certain history semiar, which led to half hour discussion after class with my favourite professor, who is now likely to supervise my dissertation next year. Which I am \o/ about, and he is D: about, because I don't speak French. He will have to translate stuff for me. But I know he'll do it anyway, because he is awesome, and is already going to speak to a Noted Historian on my behalf at the end of Jan, re: French resources I will need.

And today I went shopping for the first time in about two years, and got all my Christmas presents, plus new Skechers for myself. Tonight, I will bake Christmas stuff, do my last bit of Uni admin for the term, and watch my new Gavin and Stacey boxset. Tonorrow, I'll go to my last lecture which is not a lecture, but a talk by another Noted Historian, who is a friend of Professor Awesome. After that, said Professor Awesome is taking his students - all seventy of us! - to the bar, to buy us a drink.

I love him.

And right now, there is coffee and B.B King. It's a good week!
