Somehow, I am threading and stuff. Because I ame awesomely bad at predicting what people will like, I will just dump everthing.
Anyhow, BookBeast and I are trying to encourage Missy's Pinky Pie headvoice. There isn't much there yet because of unexpected slowtime, but if you want to read or possibly tag in...
Ginny Weasley is Amascut's go to girl for fixing hair problems. Oh! In case you were wondering why Amascut was bald and in a hospital gown during Ginny's bartending, It was because she had a temper tantrum over Milliways surviving the Allpocalypse and ended up pulling her best pheonix impression. She was reborn of Vyvyan's snot and Apollo's godly powers of sunshine and healing here.
I am mean to my pup. Mean mean mean. Oh well, I am making up for it by letting her tear up Milliways grounds with Zeldagiss. Yay fun!
Nothing wrong with being mean to your pup and I always think of Sunday Indulgences as for what you're liking as we can all get pretty busy and miss great threads.
No worries! I wasn't bothered, or anything; I actually just assumed it was one of the vagaries of bus wifi, until I saw this thread. But it's a marvelously adorable puppy, so!
In terms of RL, I sent off a bunch of forms to get me past another round in a job search, survived my first tornado warning while at work and am enjoying a Michigan early Spring. Sadly I feel incredibly tired and a little grumpy without having a good reason, but I hope that will pass.
I finished and posted a fic that I've been working on for months. Its about Charles and how he deals with dreams.
In terms of RP, it's been mainly Charles and William again with a few touches of Jane.Charles brought Raven to the Bar. Carly is the best canonmate and I love their sibling sort of relationship. All of these threads are fascinating.
In Lily's wonderful bartending, Jane found a reason to smile and William worked on his plan of teach Mary Bennet how fun being improper can be.
Jane had a complicated re-entry to the Bar. I hope to have her around more.
Well, spring is here, the weather is warm, and I just turned 24 today. Heck, my workload in school has even gone down a bit. All in all, it's been a pretty good week in RL.
Here in Milliways, it's been a bit less busy, on account of the fact that I wasn't able to come here earlier in the week.
Jim is continuing his OOM with John Marston and Kate Barlow.
And a Leela has arrived in the Bar. Still open for tags, if anybody's interested. Right now she's confused, inquisitive, and pointing a crossbow at you.
I cannot even handle the adorable of that Corgi. <333
My energies have been split among work, baking, my NCAA brackets (ahhhh, let's go, Kentucky!), and mainlining Game of Thrones canon; on the RP side, Ali and I wrapped and linked in this post-Allpocalyptic conversation between Ben Wade and Dan Evans, setting the stage for their return to the bar.
They're a little labor-intensive, but definitely worth the effort! This was baby's first from-scratch buttercream, and oh, wow. (I used Bailey's with a hint of coffee, instead of straight-up traditional Bailey's, and it is heavenly.) I give all the props in the world to Deb over at Smitten Kitchen — no matter what recipe I tackle, she never steers me wrong with her fantastic directions and tips.
Hell yes — a couple of weeks ago, I started experimenting with virgin coconut oil, thanks to the double coconut muffins recipe (which, ahhh-mazing), and then made 'em again with orange zest and dark chocolate chunks. LE YUM.
And then, I read that apparently coconut oil does incredible things to sweet potatoes, so I diced and oven-roasted a batch coated with the coconut oil, salt, pepper, and a little bit of lime zest.
*______*
I will never look at sweet potatoes in the same light again.
ANYWAY. *laughing* Basically, I would follow Deb anywhere and everywhere. (And, thanks to Pho, I've been reading The Kitchn nonstop.)
Not much RL awesome this week, issues with the kids and an emotional roller coaster for my spring break... oh, and a report I'm supposed to be finishing right now.
Retreated into RP for my fun and awesome in the form of... every single thread Michael's been in. Seriously, you all rock and have given me so many much needed smiles.
It's been a light week for me in terms of Milliways-related stuff. Apollo, as previously noted, brought Amascut back in from her temper tantrum; Cata gave Medic the rundown on pending shenanigans; and Claudia wrote up her perspective on the Allpocalypse, per Mrs. F's request.
Sandbox-wise, though, I've been busy! I've had a theory in my head for a while now re: Once Upon a Time that the curse is designed to withstand a lot of things, but an interdimensional nexus... not so much. So after Red's backstory episode last week (and boy am I glad I waited for that!) I tossedRubyin a couple times. My favorite so far is Charles helping her put the pieces together. (She's quite the night owl of a headvoice. Somehow I'm not surprised.)
Also, today's my posting day for fivetimesbb! So: New Truths, or: five people who brought something to the Warehouse. It's another multi-crossover extravaganza.
I'm really enjoying Ruby and need to marathon Once Upon a Time to catch up. Thanks for mentioning that thread as it's fascinating and shows Charles being very himself, your head is complex and confusing, can I look?
Still winding a few threads down with Tommy's St. Patrick's Day Happy Hour but I just wanted to say thanks so much to everyone who tagged in. It was my first bartending post ever and to do it with Tommy was pretty darn adventurous on my part.

I think you will have to steal the picture and put in lj scrapbook or photobucket or something like that so that other people can see the puppy.
Snow! D'awwwwwww, puppy.

Tumnus met Duck and made me feel quite fuzzy.
William had two intriguing threads that I loved; one with Michael Westen and trying to explain Milliways to Sam Anders.

I was just catching up over at Pajiba, and the latest of their "Mindhole Blowers" centers on Blazing Saddles; thought of you as I was reading. In case you've yet to see it/have some interest, the piece is here: 20 Facts About Blazing Saddles That Might Leave Your Mind Aglow With Whirling Transient Nodes of Thought Careening Through a Cosmic Vapor of Invention. Yep.

I loved Claudia's write up, it's so very her.

Claud's write-up was also tremendous amounts of fun to do.

Otherwise: I landed a volunteer writing gig at a Nintendo news website (yay!)
And then I started playing Mario Kart 7 like a boss.
