So there was this concert I wanted to go to.

In Denver.

And Aspen was like, OMG, YES, COME STAY IN MY AWESOME HOUSE WITH MY AWESOME CAT IN MY AWESOME TOWN, and here let me show you how to work the bus route and tell you some of my favorite places and oh you need a ride out to Red Rocks, sure I'll drive you out there AND sit outside the venue w/ a book and a sleeping bag and wait for the show to be over.

And we had pie in her kitchen, (with Sweeney, and the Mayday pie that survived the flight from Kentucky, even WITH the delay) and I fed her cat tunafish, and I got to explore a city I'd never been to before but was so awesome.

And.

AND.

I just.

Aspen, I love her. She has worked so hard to build her space and her life, and you can tell that there is a great amount of care and detail in everything she does. She inspires me to be more mindful and think things through.

(also, getting to duct tape Jack Sparrow to a pole and parade him into the bar...amazing.)
