Dude. I've been mainlining the series like a crackhead. AT 4 IN THE MORNING AS WELL. I finished s4 last week and went back to s1, not just to brush up on earlier canon but jeeeezus it's a good show.

So anyone else NOT in an April Fool's mood this year? Probably the timing of the day as The Sunday Before Passover means I am thinking of the bar as merely a pleasant diversion in between tasks and not as a place to be wacky for hours on end is affecting my view this time around.

Honestly, I'm not ever really in an April Fool's mood, but if I say that in front of this crowd I get the feeling I'm considered a spoilsport. Kind of like being the person who doesn't really like the prevalence of torso icons in skimpy clothing for costume change holidays.

I'm not really - too stressed and ill, and I'll be seeing Hunger Games with sister on Sunday. I have a couple ideas, but I'll have to see if in right mood.

Not at the moment. My mind's rather full of all the things I need to do and trying to fight off sick.

It can be fun but of Spring holidays, I think I enjoy more general happy stuff as pranks require more thoughts.

The only pup of mine that'll be in the bar this weekend just got his leg hacked off, so...yeah. :( April Fool's spirit is pretty lacking on my end here, too.

(Though the Trickster will be so sad that he missed April 1st. SO SAD. Maybe he'll try to make up for it once he finds his way back to Milliways.)

I'm not really in an April Fools Day mood, say, ever, but less when I'm working downtown that afternoon after working the Saturday as well. Anyone decides to prank me they're taking their lives into their hands.

As for in-bar...ehh, I can take or leave it for my pup at least. Depends if I think of anything really good and this year I don't think so.

Prank-wise, I never like it. Bar-wise, I'm considering tossing a different version of Claudia in the bar for the day, but that's it.
(Of course, I'll be at work all day, so whether I actually do it or not is another matter entirely. As for work, if we didn't have pre-inventory stuff to do, I'd call shenanigans on being scheduled in at 7:30 on a Sunday; we're not open to the public till 11.)

T-minus 35 hours before UK and Louisville face off in the Final Four, y'all. If you are unfamiliar with the fervor that accompanies college basketball -- especially in the SEC, and especially in this state -- well. Here's a sampling.

The University of Kentucky's police department will be coordinating with Lexington PD to close campus streets and most of downtown. They are going to be out in riot gear, just waiting for the couch-burning to begin.

Local bars and restaurants are taking away all glassware and actualfax silverware, and replacing them with plastic.

It's gonna get real here in Mayberry.

Couch burning, I remember that from Dunedin though it didn't tend to coincide with sports as much. It was more, hey, we're living in flats and don't have parents around, sweet.

Also the students all lived in one part of town so could happily put the couches on the street.

I feel like today is just a vehicle for tomorrow, which I might use to take a road trip to a fantastic bakery about two hours away from me and then mill around that area's antique stores.

I get to go to work and listen to our CEO tell us about the opening of the new branch. Which we got a pretty thorough memo about yesterday, so I'm not sure how much will be new.

The bonus is that I get paid for three hours and don't have to be on the desk, the negative...well.

Personally I'm convinced that the moving date is going to be late again and we're going to be going insane because moving (and the month-long closure of the branch that will entail) will be right around the beginning of summer, which is the craziest time of year for us. It's not supposed to be a problem, but I'm preparing myself just in case.

I wonder just how pissed the CEO would be if I knit all the way through her talk.
