So anyone else NOT in an April Fool's mood this year? Probably the timing of the day as The Sunday Before Passover means I am thinking of the bar as merely a pleasant diversion in between tasks and not as a place to be wacky for hours on end is affecting my view this time around.
Honestly, I'm not ever really in an April Fool's mood, but if I say that in front of this crowd I get the feeling I'm considered a spoilsport. Kind of like being the person who doesn't really like the prevalence of torso icons in skimpy clothing for costume change holidays.
B'aww, totally not a spoilsport! I think I've only really taken advantage of the body-swapping plot, as far as April Fool's in concerned. And that was, uh, at least two years ago? So. Yep. Most definitely not a spoilsport.
TBH, I've always considered the costume changes the least interesting form of bar-wide plot. Oh noes, I have a different appearance and am otherwise completely unchanged!
I'm not really - too stressed and ill, and I'll be seeing Hunger Games with sister on Sunday. I have a couple ideas, but I'll have to see if in right mood.
I'm actually in the mood--although not for Milliways. I have Plans for my music blog that have been in the works for weeks. idk what I'd do with Kirby. Turn him into Masahiro Sakurai???
(The mental image of Sakurai running around saying "Poyo" is a little too cute for my constitution right now.)
The only pup of mine that'll be in the bar this weekend just got his leg hacked off, so...yeah. :( April Fool's spirit is pretty lacking on my end here, too.
(Though the Trickster will be so sad that he missed April 1st. SO SAD. Maybe he'll try to make up for it once he finds his way back to Milliways.)
I'm not really in an April Fools Day mood, say, ever, but less when I'm working downtown that afternoon after working the Saturday as well. Anyone decides to prank me they're taking their lives into their hands.
As for in-bar...ehh, I can take or leave it for my pup at least. Depends if I think of anything really good and this year I don't think so.
Prank-wise, I never like it. Bar-wise, I'm considering tossing a different version of Claudia in the bar for the day, but that's it. (Of course, I'll be at work all day, so whether I actually do it or not is another matter entirely. As for work, if we didn't have pre-inventory stuff to do, I'd call shenanigans on being scheduled in at 7:30 on a Sunday; we're not open to the public till 11.)
I think if Ben were in a happier place I'd have him doing something since pranks are a big part of his life but as it is, not happening. As for myself, it's my dad's birthday so it's never been about pranks for me.
If I had a good idea for some sort of wacky shenanigan, I'd be all over it. It's been an excuse for some fun things in the past. But I has no ideas. D:
Plus, this weekend is turning out to already be full of plans. I don't know how that happened. @_@
It's not like it was in the old days, when everyone made their plans for April Fool's Day early, booking their flights, arranging to be with loved ones, ordering their empty buckets and gag gift early. Now, no one takes the time to celebrate the way we used to.
I tell you, we've lost that April's Fools spirit.
Which means I'd better post a link to The Curious Case of Sidd Finch Sunday morning, and remind everyone about the true meaning of the day.
Muahahaha, a heartwarming tale of generosity, charity, and pantsing people in public.
I'm more excited for Cubefall, to be honest. If we had a bar plot going, I think it would be easier for me to sink my teeth into the idea. Cubefall presents more of an opportunity to interact with people also doing wacky things.

It can be fun but of Spring holidays, I think I enjoy more general happy stuff as pranks require more thoughts.

Yeah, my main headvoice right now has various forms of PTSD recently acquired, among other things, so nooooo fun costume changes for Kait.

Although, I'm pretty sure she doesn't drink, so there goes that.
(also dear god I need to get to sleep, this is entertaining me way too much)

So I simply won't have much time for lots of April 1st shenanigans.

Doesn't help that my pups are active in other things at the moment, and will likely be out of bar.
