"You know as much as I do," says Amanda. "Doors end up going here when they're supposed to go someplace else." Hm. "Maybe they're a bad influence."

[clovenpine]

"And 'here' is where, exactly?" Johanna turns, slowly surveying her surroundings. "The... Capitol?" A hint of panic creeps into her voice.

[orchidkaboom]

"Uh, no." Amanda gives a little expansive hand gesture that's probably missed. "End of the universe. Pretty stable for all that, though."

[clovenpine]

"So a door to the end of the universe. Which is a bar."

There's only one rational explanation for all of this: she's gone mad. Still... she pivots in place again, frowning. It's a remarkably sane and orderly way to go mad, all things considered.

[orchidkaboom]

"You've got it," Amanda says cheerfully. "There's a forest, a lake, and some mountains outside, but not much else."

[clovenpine]

"This," Johanna says after a long pause, "is seriously bizarre. End of the universe, with a bar, and mountains. I don't think I could make that up if I tried."

Which means she isn't crazy. Which means--

"So, if I turn around, and leave the way I came, what happens?"

"You're back where you started."

She knows how that goes.
