"I have never heard of Morrowind I am afraid, but then I have never but outside the Shire. I fear something far stranger than it seems is at hand here." Despite her words, there's a twinkle of curiosity in her eyes.

"A wizard's idea of a joke, perhaps," Caius muses. "But then, I've traveled with the assistance of the Mage's Guild before. If this were magic, I would have felt it."

"Oh dear, wizards? Well everyone knows that Gandof is one for stirring up trouble. My name is Belladonna Took." The last is punctuated with a slight curtsy. "Perhaps we can explore this tavern together and discover what has occured?"

"Do they indeed?"

Strange that he's never heard of such a person. As Spymaster of the Blades, he tends to know the names of people who stir up trouble.

"Caius Cosades," he says. "That does sound like a good plan. It would probably be best to start by talking to the proprietor."

"Well, to be honest, I find the fellow noble and entertaining. It's not his fault if you chose to go traveling with him and find yourself in rather more trouble than you expected. He never forces anyone, and he does make the most wonderful fireworks and tells the grandest of tales."

As she talks she heads towards the bar as that is most often where one finds the tavern keeper.

"I must confess I'm not familiar with the man," Caius says. "Is the Shire somewhere in Valenwood?"

It might explain it - they're on opposite ends of the Empire, after all.

"Nay, it is not. To the north and west is Arthedain, to east Cardolan and to the south, is Minhiriath. I have not heard of Valenwood, is it past the Misty Mountains?"

This whole adventure is getting curiouser and curiouser, for where is the Barkeeper? And...

"Are those rats serving?"

"Hmmm," he says. "I haven't heard of any of those places. And between Necrom and Daggerfall, I've covered a lot of ground in the Empire."

Strange as that is, he has to admit that the waitrats are stranger. "...It would appear so."

"I begin to fear I have hit my head or am sleeping," Belladonna says a bit worriedly.

"Or Telvanni are involved," he says. "Strange people, the Telvanni. I wouldn't put rat servants past them. I've heard tell of some that keep the undead or even Daedra as servants. Though I don't suppose you'd be familiar with the Telvanni, either."

He peers over the counter. "Though whoever the master of this place is doesn't seem to be around."
