A previous DE asked the question, "If your pup was a god, what would be your pup's sphere of influence?" Or something like that. I have a bad memory.

Anyhow, my question is, "If your pup were the god or saint of something or other, what sort of followers, devotees, etc. would your pup tend to attract? For Amascut it is usually the insane, the desperate, and those who kill things for a living. Poor gal. But what about yours?"

Well, really, as dog breeds that fit Thor go, golden retrievers are waaaaay down my mental list (and puppies are, for sure), but the physical comparison is entertaining anyway. Ah, Thor.

But see, that begs the question what dog breeds you feel do fit Thor! :D

Because I'm totally not imagining Thor's possible choices for Cubefall.

I tossed it around at one point with someone -- Lynne, I think? -- and didn't come to a solid answer. But the thing with goldens is that they're soft-mouthed retriever dogs. They're bred to run fetch the duck or whatever that somebody else shot, and bring it back without breaking the skin.

Thor is a shaggy beautiful affectionate aristocratic-looking dog who is also a wall of muscle and will LEAP UP AND BITE YOUR FACE RIGHT OFF.

My first thought was the Newfoundland but they don't come with a fair coat. Then I saw the Great Pyrenees, which seems quite appropriate, especially this one.
