Strangely, the first thing I thought was 'well, at least he's the right age' - so I guess that's a subjective thing. And he has the chin for it.

I think I'm just in shock, tbh. Like, of all the people in Hollywood - Ben Affleck. I think I sort of had the notion they'd cast younger, to match up with Henry Cavill. But perhaps they need a 'name', because HC isn't big enough yet - though Man of Steel has probably done enough to let him carry it on his own.

Basically, I just want to keyboard smash all night, until my brain makes sense of it.

It - if you asked me a few days ago who I thought would be cast as Batman, Ben Affleck would not have been the answer. Or in the top ten. Admittedly, I had forgotten that he existed, but even if I'd remembered he probably wouldn't have been on the list.
