I spent the week in a staycation and loved it! Didn't do much housework or other responsible things but I feel recharged.
Saw Thor 2 with Her Ladyship and Loki's army has grown by one Middle Schooler. She wants to see Mr. Hiddleston play a nice guy now.
I played a bit with a newish head voice earlier this week (on the fence with the PB though) but not much else.
ETA: I forgot I also discovered an action figure for Andrea Nash, well a substitute anyway. Thus my plan of having figures for all my pups is getting closer to fruition!
That would be one Joaquín Cortés and he is dreamy. He's also a ballet and flamenco dancer! My doubts about him as a PB for this character stem from the fact the character is Slavic. I do like the idea of him being Romi, as Mr. Cortés is, and I do know what I think of as Russia is a largely ethnically diverse area, but I don't know that there are any that could pass for Spanish.
As for the books, I think they are fabulously entertaining. Great one liners ("It’s never a good thing when the black volhv says, ‘Oh Uh’, and then runs for his life."), complex characters and lots of action. I would warn that the series is bloody and the romance can be triggery as it does involve a lot of powerplay (most if not all the romance occurs with at least one member being a shapeshifter) but beneath the games, you can tell the people truly care and respect each other...well, eventually.
He iiiiiiiis dreamy. Almost as much as Willy Cartier, but that's a whole 'nother subject. >.> I think personally that with that face there's definite possibility for saying the character is of Andalusian Romani (forgive me if I get the plurals wrong, declensions are not my strong suit) descent and Slavic as nationality?
Heh. I read the Anita Blake books, I can handle power play in romance. It sounds fun, though, and I will definitely check them out! I think my library has them, but if not I can always reserve them on the inter-library thing.
Definitely something to think about. I know from canon his mother speaks Russian and her name is very Russian, as is his father's (Edvokia and Grigorii respectively). I can see them being from Ukraine which could support the Andalusian Romani ancestry and not much is given out in canon so I have wiggle room. = ]
Plus, if I do use him, I can sneak ballet in as a hobby of his, if not flamenco, as well.
Well, I'm not 100% sure I'll be apping him but he doesn't have a canon romance yet. ; p
And sort of connected, when Thalia returns for some air time, I feel like she and Ganymede should thread again, or meet if my brain is misremembering a brief thread at the archery range.

Fair warning, book 3 doesn't come out until April and things are left hanging as much as the end of book 1.

I had a feeling that was coming.

...I should read these books, apparently they happen in Atlanta and I live like, an hour and a half from there. I know it so well.
