Friday DE: Flash Fic
Let's do a round of flash fic today.
Steps are simple:
1 - Comment with the character(s) you'd like to play with.
2 - Read other people's comments and give them a prompt for writing.
3 - Read and write with any prompts you receive. Fic can be any length.
4 - Repet.
Prompts can can be anything from a song title to a word to a canon quote to an AU idea. Whatever inspires or catches your fancy.

Night shift
He leaned back and Kay shifted to provide a solid bulk for him to lean on, "Yes, but there's enough of a chance that we'll see what they're up to."
Kay made a sound that he knew was the closest he had to a frustrated huff and Cassian smiled.
This was as peaceful a night as they'd had in a long time. They were watching in an occupied world with a higher risk of being captured but searching for information not planning an assassination. It was almost as close to comfortable as being on their ship in hyperdrive with time, still work to do but under a lovely moon.

"Its good to see you again, Logan, your room's ready."
"Fine, thanks," As he walked off, Charles felt the thread of pleasure in his mind at being welcomed and the kids asking him questions.

Caught
"No, no, you're an expert, I'm learning." Also he's learning how clothes work.

William: "Lord it's the same old tune, fiddle and guitar / Where do we take it from here?"
Charles: "Can’t change what the future may hold"
Cassian: "I'm the space invader, I'll be a rock 'n' rollin' bitch for you"
Part of my space
The elevator moved quietly as she held him, he was going to walk out of the Citadel beside her, she was solid and warm.
She was so close, he wasn't used to being close to anyone who wasn't Kay and kept glancing at him. He caught her gaze, she sort of smiled, "Good shot."
"Couldn't miss," He tried to sound like the hotshot pilots though everything hurt and saw her almost laugh. How had it become right to have her here and near?
Cassian stumbled as they stopped, he had to keep moving, keep being here as she held him, "Don't go anywhere, Captain."
"I won't, not leaving you," He could do that, he wanted to be with her whatever happened next.

Some things are always true
Hopefully he'd be in time and they wouldn't lose another young mutant to a frightened family.
Re: Some things are always true
Same dance, different tune
They backed away from each other and the foreman tried to stare him down, his bleeding eye didn't make it work as well, "You're lucky, Evans."
"No, just better than you," Then they and everyone watching moved into the mix of the cowboys at the stockyards, one more night of the roundup.

A new world
The Fleet had come to Scarif, they weren't alone, the Rebellion would rise and fight. He looked at Jyn, she had done this, she had pulled them forward and told her that her father would be proud. When she tugged him close, he breathed her in and closed his eyes as something new would begin from today.

I'll need to think on Ahsoka's but here's Sabine's prompt:
Family was like painting. All the materials were there and stood on their own, but in the mixing was when the beauty happened. Yes, it could go horribly wrong. Each piece always ran the risk of being ruined, even when you did everything right. (She knew this all too well) But when the pigments fell right, the shading and textures balances, the rhythm and compositions applied correctly, something more than the individuals elements came to be. A force to be reckoned with. A force that could do amazing things. A force that would change worlds or even the galaxy.
